I think those of us drawn in by what was promised in TSW1 and has been dripped out by "stand alone games" of TSW 2 and 3 deserve to not be bait and switched again. Calling what are more seen as beta test iterations individual games seems at the very least incredibly scummy for the sake of profiteering.
I don't think you'd be able to change their minds on that, they need to make money somehow but I would like a cheaper option that has just the game and no routes for like £10-£15
There are plenty of threads in General whining about having to pay for TSW4. Do we really need this one in Suggestions, too? Short answer is, if you want TSW4 you put your hand in your pocket and peel 40 notes off your wad, or wait for the Standard editions and peel off 30 notes. Or wait for (probably) the Spring Steam or PS sale and peel off 18 notes.
i have to agree especially when they should have added the class 222 to the midlands mainline then they would of had a very good route that is worth buying and playing for a long time
A company? Trying to make money? Oh good heavens. ETA - TSW4 brings the Editor to TSW which was the main promise of TSW1, that you mentioned.
Yeah, they highly should rethink about their business strategy and the way they treat loyal cosumers, but not being loyal to them. But as we all know and probably even expect, nothing will change on their side other than a smiling and ignorant face regarding that.
