Hi and today, I'm suggesting a Railtour pack for TSW4. This pack would feature 5 locomotives which are yet to feature in TSW. Bear in mind that these would only include the preserved members of the class that are operating on the mainline. Each class would have its own services on timetable mode on their respective route as well as scenarios. 1. BR Class 55 Locos - 55009 "Alycidon", 55015 "Tulyar" (To Be Certified Upon Completion of Overhaul) & 55022 "Royal Scots Grey" Route - ECML: Doncaster to Peterborough 2. LNER A4 Locos - 4464 "Bittern", 60009 "Union of South Africa" & 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" Route - ECML: Doncaster to Peterborough 3. BR Standard 7 Locos - 70000 "Britannia" & 70013 "Oliver Cromwell" Route - Midland Mainline 4. SR Merchant Navy Locos - 35018 "British India Line" & 35028 "Clan Line" Route - Brighton Mainline 5. LMS Princess Royal Locos - 6201 "Princess Elizabeth" & 46203 "Princess Margaret Rose" Route - Midland Mainline
This is a great suggestion. The modern-day UK railtour scene is generally lacking at the moment. There should be some more services per railtour, such as support coach (steam light engine) moves or depot runs before the return journey.
I’ll take that. Another contender would be the Class 50 which could also sub into GW Legends vice the Western or Class 47.
Great suggestion, I love the idea of having a railtour-focused pack however they would not all be released at once but instead you could bundle them into: ECML: Railtour Pack (Class 55/LNER A4) MML: Railtour Pack (BR Standard 7/LMS Princess Royal) BML: Railtour Pack (SR Merchant Navy Class) I can't believe this has not been thought about and developed yet...
They should DEFINITELY do the deltic, they should add that to the ECML. And the A4s would be lovely to have in the game!
Would love to see more railtours, but not in this suggested form. Firstly, 5 brand new locomotives in a single pack is unrealistic. Secondly, limiting each locomotive to one route would be a massive shame. I rather see a pack with 1 or 2 locomotives, either new or updated, that open up railtour services on a multitude of routes, also allowing substitution for any other heritage locos we already have in the game.
Thanks for your insight. - Firstly, I suggested that each loco is on a current route for the sake of scenarios & timetable mode. The engines could be layered on to other routes but it can become a bit unrealistic and to cluttered if you have several railtours on the same route. Of course, they are avaliable for free-roam & scenario planner. TBH, I can agree that 5 locos for one pack is a bet excessive and could be put into a route-based pack such as an ECML Charter Pack with the Class 55 & A4 and a MML Charter Pack with the Standard 7 & an updated 37 - Secondly, my suggestions are something that DTG or a 3rd party developer could take and base the final product off.
