8 hours of downloading...bring it on. The bain of having too much DLC. My question is if I preorder the deluxe edition with 5x days early access, will the DLC be available to instantly do as well at the same time? Or will the TSW5 version of all DLC only be available on main release date? PS5 version here.
Nope, in the FAQ they stated that only on steam can you download your DLC within early access. On Xbox and ps you need to wait until the release date.
I do find that really annoying, why would people who own Goblin want to play WCML without the 710s showing up? They could at least let us claim the routes we already own that are in the special edition, they must already exist for those who buy that edition.
Ye iknow right, they stated that during early access you get everything in your chosen bundle. So I think that is you buy the Deluxe you still can't play your owned routes from the Special Edition. "During early access you will have access to the full game, including everything in your chosen bundle (Deluxe/Special). For the first time, Steam players will have the opportunity to download their Compatible Content during Early Access."
Just shows that with console you lose your independence and you are being controlled by the big companies such as Sony and Microsoft.
This aspect of not having the other content during early access never bothered me, and I had early access in both TSW4 and TSW3. As I always saw it, it's only five days. In the three routes and two extra locos that we get access to, there is plenty to keep me busy for those five days.
Honestly this early access nonsense is one of my biggest grips with modern gaming. If the game is ready, then release it. The Arbitrary 5-7 days is silly. At least this time most the routes come with a lot of layers as standard. WCML should only be missing the 710, but all the others are in the base pack if I recall correctly. The US one will have the F125 from the get go, and if you’re getting deluxe anyway then Cajon Pass is included so the freight layers will be there. Then the German line is likely only going to be missing the loco subs and IC layer? Last year the routes were pretty barebones, ECML had nothing other than the 66, both ends of the line were transformed once layers came along, VBerg was the same, got quite busy on one side of the route with layers & then there was the Freight for AVL. Overall the routes will be stacked with the majority of traffic in there already, the 710 is a shame since you’ll basically miss out on a whole route for a few days, but in all honesty I’ll likely be busy with the 350 & 390. It will be night & day compared to early access ECML.
Early access to only part of the game to then have to wait till the full game launches and beyond to get access to the DLC's I have paid hundreds of pounds makes the early access seem pointless?
