3 months after release and the WCMLs is still unfinished, with tons of services missing from the Timetable... but don't worry you can spend even more money now whilst you wait.......

This leaves a bad taste.

Should have delayed the gameplay pack until you fixed WCMLs, it's another Fife Circle all over again.

 

On a system above the recommended specs I get 10-15 FPS leaving and entering Frankfurt Hbf and Hanau on 1080p, so yeah I'm not investing in this route until DTS does something about it.

 

Quick question: dtg_jan what time (Germany) will the packs drop on steam today?

Hi. Just a quick question. The 111 n-wagen pack on FTF separate timetable is not supposed to layer in Flixtrain. Correct?

BTW: love the 111 with the newer pantographs. Looks so much sleeker.

MY X BOX has not updated the WCML,s yet..series X

 

In timetable mode it is showing playable substutions for: Haupstrecke Munchen - Ausburg, Haupstrecke Rhein-Ruhr, Main-Spessart Bahn, Nahverkehr Dresden, Rhein-Ruhr Osten and Schnellfahrstrecke Koln.

I have the new gameplay pack but the Metrolink holiday train and the BR 111 aren't appearing for me anywhere.

I don't currently have San Bernardino or Frankfurt - Fulda, but the Steam page says they are recommended but not required.

If this is intentional, could the Steam page description be updated? Thanks

 

I've purchased the UK wagon set today. For £4.99 it's not bad value.

I am just curious if the post is mistaken, or the pack requiring the routes is the mistake

 

You'll still probably have access to them with free roam/Consist editor etc

Yeah, checked too, not appearing in-game at all in any form, not even to place it manually.

 

I only got the German one, but so far - driving the n-wagen is a nice challenge, it still has the same bugs (the destination board keeps resetting to empty, brake sound loops).
Plus the dispatcher is awful as ever, with my RE train being constantly routed before an ICE2 service all the way from Langenselbold to Schlüchtern, with a bonus layover at Bad Soden, where I still got the priority.

Currently I'm waiting 15 minutes in Schlüchtern watching all the ICEs and ICs that were stuck behind me for the last 30 minutes

 

Well the trains are there yes. If you want the San Bernadino Christmas route... you need San Bernadino yes.
It's a bit like having a livery but not the train to put it on otherwise.
It does say in the description quite clearly that you can use the train by itself on other routes in "Free Roam".... or on San Bernadino line if you have it.
Same with the wagons and 111.
It would be weird otherwise.

 

Okay, so this is bull$#!+ right? You would think a non-shifty company would actually tell their customers that the new edition of the game they just released was going to have some content that wouldn't be available on some consoles, wouldn't you? Oh, but I'm sure that since these versions of the game would receive less support that it would at least be sold for a lower price, right? Or, and wait for it, Dovetail could be a shifty company acting shifty. And those Fs may as well be Ts. I am disappoint.

It's been said many times actually.
The same thing happened with previous consoles. When the new ones came out, companies stopped making content for the older stuff.
DTG has been making content for both for over 4 years now, and you can play all the older content still.
I'm honestly surprised your system has lasted this long.

 

Can someone explain why Salzburg-Rosenheim is suddenly needed for freight services? I thought one of the purposes of the DB BR 111 pack was to give players without Salzburg-Rosenheim access to it… but now you need that route to have a somewhat realistic driving experience with freight in the timetable.

Well the pack for Frankfurt have many bugs so many waht the hell do the beta tester from DTG?

 

Ah is that what it is? Got me confused since freight is shown in the layers list, but said I didn’t own it.

I assume the reasoning for this is that since the 111 is an older unit, DTG decided to “backdate” the timetable by removing the modern Vectron locomotives. However, since the DB Vectron was the only freight locomotive included with the route, that meant that freight couldn’t be part of the base timetable.

Annoyed that DTG didn’t tell us about this beforehand. Requiring their newest (and therefore most expensive) German route to get freight trains on a timetable for a $6 USD gameplay pack is ridiculous. Dare I say, I almost feel scammed since they didn’t tell us this would be the case?

And without the Railpool Vectron pack you don't have the Eanos cars... and with that the DLC layers, and then you still have the Vectrons back there... a bit bizarre

 

But it's a separate time table, right. So you could just play the original one if you want to run Vectron freight.

 

I'm really not quite sure what you mean. I've been playing the WCMLs today and the upgraded timetable is definitely there. I did a run with the new 5-car 710 and I encountered a prototypically busy service pattern on the DC lines, more than there were previously.

 

Seen the (second) update about FTF too being needed for its gameplay pack. Granted, for the scenarios, duh.
But for the rolling stock to be available? You are a joke. No, not "this is a joke", you are a joke.

 

Problem is I just want to see freight service in 111 timetable like it feel weird to not see any freight service that use to have

 

Picked up the HKAs and although the blurb didn't mention it, they appear in Livery Designer, but already coloured in tatty NP livery, and they cannot be over painted. Are they meant to be paintable?

 

I thought the BR111 would be a good deal, since I don't already have Salzburg. But if I need Salzburg anyway to get freight, then I'll just wait for a sale

 

Wow bought this bundle not realizing the christmas train only had 3 services and its during the day wow, what a let down, Then i load WCML to do some of the unloading loading services i heard of and cant find them. I move over the Fluda and i have no freight. Only really bought for the 111 but got the full bundle because of their decoy pricing. Now im just regretting the overall purchase. Note the actual news article i read before buying doesn't say Salzburg – Rosenheim is required to have any freight.

 

I'm not too gutted about the christmas train as soon we are going to have the F59PHR so both San Bernadino and Antelope Valley are going to have even more gameplay.

 

I also love the WCML wagons as it is going to create more gameplay. I have been on the WCML between Euston and Crewe and back in real life and it is arguably one or my favourite mainline in the UK.
