Steam [resolved] Tsw5 On Steam, Major Issues

Downloaded TSW5 from Steam, opened it up, to get TSW4 opening with CMD prompt over the top with many errors in strings.

 

Yeah same here. I also can't sign into dovetail live. If I skip the login there are no routes. (Steam Deluxe)

 

Same here! It loads up a dev version of TSW4, without routes and is only 10gb total on drive. 2.5gb download.

 

Same here, it opens a version of TSW4 and some sort of developer console, "TrainSimWorld-Win64-Developer.exe".

 

Yep, 10GB i thought was very very light for my whole collection...

 

Hi devs,

My install of TSW5 on Steam was only 2.8GB. On launch, it runs a big command prompt window, then launches TSW4 and asks me to sign in or import progress from TSW3. This needs some major attention DTG Matt DTG Alex DTG Harry


EDIT: Fixed by Matt. Uninstall, restart Steam, start install again to fix.

 

Yes - Had the same issue.

 

Like the title says, downloaded the game, start it, and I get TSW4, but no routes at all, also no training centre.

Anyone else with the same problem?

 

Just finishing up my install and will test then report.

 

same here! Just TSW4 starting. Then i have to log into dovetail - which fails. Then I'm offered to import TSW3 Data.

 

It appears I've got a dev build of TSW4?

Bad start. How can that happen?

 

Can confirm had the same issue. Uninstalled the game for now.

 

TSW5 showing TSW4 logo, menu and a terminal for some reason when opening it on Steam, also the TSW5 routes won't download because it only takes 10 GB of space.

Yeah, I mean. It's an interesting build for sure but... I doubt this'll be fixed today.

We need a procedure here DTG Matt - do we uninstall this rogue version, or standfast and wait for it to be sorted.

Same here! Also the Login to Dovetail Live did not work and now when I start the game, I am required to make a new profile. How can I force the Dovetail Live Login again?

 

Alright, that is what I got also. It starts up with a lot of code being installed.

 

I'll just unistall it and whait for a fix.

An update just started rolling on my steam. 159gb download. Seems the game is coming now!

Dovetail live doesn't seem to be working either. The same login info I use to login here and on the dovetail live website won't work in the game. It says invalid credentials. When I try to reset my password it says Dovetail Live error. DTG Matt

edit: seeing the thread it's likely due to being on the TSW4 dev build. re-installing and its 200+ GB so hopefully this fixes it!

 

2 gb download, loads up as TSW4, no routes, no trains and wont sign in. Refund here I come

Same. Uninstalled then Closed Steam and reopened it and it’s now downloading 34.5gb

same here. and next to that my dovetail live account has invalid credentials even though I logged in with the exact same succesfully on the dtg website to test if I haven't forgotten them
