    Why is it all yellow?

    I get that it ties in with the logo, but the barber's pole is yellow on white and hard to see. So much for the accessibility push of a few years ago.

    Worst of all, the difficulty colours on scenarios of green, orange, and red are now yellow, yellow, and yep, you guessed it, yellow!

    Someone at DTG probably just picks random colours, I can’t think of the last time the game would have passed a UI QA test.

    The yellow-on-white color palette really is… a choice. And it makes me think about accessibility overall. I wonder if we’ll ever see improvements to the HUD for colorblind players. One idea that could make a big difference is using shapes along with colors on the track monitor for signal aspects. For example, a green circle for clear, a yellow triangle for caution, and a red square for stop/danger. That way, anyone who struggles to distinguish the colors would still have a clear way to read the signals.

    I don't care what color scheme they use as long as it's high-contrast and quickly readable for selectable options.

    I do feel for our colorblind friends though

    The post above for shapes for different signal aspects would be great too.

    TSW1 and 2 UI are still superior to anything released after them. The whole UI is on a downward slope since TSW3.

    If it ain't broke, unlike the rest of the game, please leave it alone.

    Yeah imma be honest the colour scheme is baffling. It's really ugly

    Honestly this stuff should be a setting and not the default, why should we have put up with these ugly colours when the older versions have better ones

    I think that's why the bar on the colour signals changes depending on the colour.
    Horizontal = Red
    45° = Yellow
    Vertical = Green
    I agree it could be clearer.

    Ideally the UI would be user configurable, not what some bright spark at DTG Towers decides as the flavour of the month. Just as in the same way we had the ghastly adaptive eye cheap camera effect entering and leaving tunnels imposed, with no choice for the user. You do wonder sometimes whether TSW is being designed to satisfy the player base or to indulge the whims of a few individuals at the company… :)

    DTG not getting the licensing for Yellow by Coldplay was a missed opportunity

    Just watching the preview stream and much prefer this UI colour scheme to TSW5. Think 4 is still the high water mark however.

    They also need to make all the TSW music from TSW4 and 5 backwards compatibility. I know PC users can use mods for this, but us console users miss the epic TSW4 theme tune too.

    If it is all yellow, why is Bart grey?

    Colour has nothing to do with my comment lol.
    Read what I wrote and connect the dots with the gif.
    Man I shouldn’t be explaining this to you…
    It’s like one of those occasions when you tell a joke, someone doesn’t get it and you need to explain it to them, it kills the whole thing ;)

    Eh? TSW2 (after the Rush Hour update) had the worst menu DTG had ever created. The TSW3 menu design was made solely to address the criticisms of the previous menu... I know, because I was of the people asked to give feedback on the new design prior to TSW3's release. Granted DTG have butchered the design (and didn't take any of the suggestions I made which would have made the menu system much faster to navigate), but it's a gigantic improvement over Rush Hour.

    Don't forget the TSW3 theme, which in my opinion blasts everything after it out of the park.

    It’s obviously been a few years, but I couldn’t remember if TSW3 had a theme or not. I took a listen and it’s very good, but for me TSW4 is the winner. We need a poll for this :)

    TSW3 was the only TSW theme that I liked. I didn't like the 'normal' version that much, but the ambient version from the game itself is brilliant. I like it so much that I even made it the menu music for TS as well. TSW4's theme was much worse, but the 12 minute ambient version on iTunes and Spotify is quite nice. TSW5's theme is pretty poor. I've only listened to a little bit of TSW6's theme, but I didn't like it either.

    Agree yellow on white background is an appalling choice for the activity timer up on the right of the screen.
    At least have anything yellow on a black background.
    Surely it's not that difficult to allow players to pick different colours for the UI. I have a preference for dark backgrounds as my eyes get easily overwhelmed by brightness.
