Evening all, TOD4 lighting has generally improved the appearance of the game, there is no doubt about that. However one issue I see coming up repeatedly each time a new route is released, is that at least one tunnel will have issues with lighting. Either the lighting is broken and I get flashing in paces that should be dark inside the tunnel, or it takes too long for the lighting to fade when entering a tunnel. I’m not sure if this is due to the complexity of light baking now, but going back to TOD3 routes, the change in lighting when entering and exiting a tunnel seemed much more realistic to me. The way it behaves now seems to me to be like the way a video camera reacts to a quick change in light levels, rather than the human eye. In any case I really feel that the inconstancy with the way the light behaves in a route with many tunnels and some tunnels having the flashing lighting very much spoils the immersion. Overall I love TOD4, but any improvement, refinement and/or tweaking to tunnel lighting would be very welcome I’m sure.
