hello everyone... I love driving German trains and I already use systems like Sifa (safety control) and LZB (linear train control), but I have trouble understanding PZB (point-shaped train control). I know that it's not supposed to be very easy to understand and I've already watched a video about it, but it wasn't easy to understand how it all works. As with the LZB, I thought there was a tutorial from TWS5 for the PZB, but I couldn't find it. I think it would be great if there were more tutorials for the safety systems of the individual trains. what do you think about it and how did you learn to drive with these systems? I look forward to any answers Regards LeroyL
With at least a few German trains (more the regionals/locals than the high-speed) I've seen a behavior that doesn't made sense to me and I'm not sure if a bug or not. Basically the train is traveling and you want to brake/stop, so you pull back on the throttle to zero and apply some brakes. The square on the HUD goes red, and it stays red even when the brake is moved back to zero. The way to get it our of this state is to apply some throttle (which does nothing since the square is still red), and then move the throttle back to zero (at which point the red square turns white), and then throttle can be applied again to get actual acceleration. This need to rock the throttle after apply any amount of braking seems odd to me.
