Tutorials will happen in the coming weeks once the DTG teams have worked on initial post-launch things for the game itself and probably had some time to recover given the late nights working to get this live. The community is actively experimenting with the tools now and as we discover things, they will be shared. Route building and the Unreal Engine 4 is a complex beast and will take time for us all to learn.
Yes I think for the now it will be a case of blundering along, taking another look at the editor demonstration stream and making some text notes. That's how I finally got SRTM to import but the section about setting up TOD and environmentals was too quick to grasp what was happening and what do do. I'm going to try and watch the second section tomorow where Matt set up the flat route and started laying track, see what I can extrapolate from that. I think once we get going with the actual track laying and scenery placement things will get better, it's this initial set up of the route - DEM (SRTM & LiDAR), marker files, environmentals etc. that we needed a helping hand with a step by step guide to getting the route to that point.
