Today, I am suggesting the Tyne and Wear Metro for TSW 2. Most of the information can be found in this video. The Tyne and Wear Metro is a Subway System, serving the Tyne and Wear County of the UK. There are two lines, the Green and Yellow. The Green Line runs between South Hylton and the Newcastle Airport. The Yellow runs between St James and South Sheilds, overlapping itself at the Monument Station. Tyne and Wear Metro Map The System serves 60 Stations, across 48 Miles of track. Rolling Stock There is one type of Rolling Stock that would be used on this route, the Class 994, also known as the Metrocar. They use the PZB Signalling System, found commonly on German Trains. What are your thoughts on this suggestion?
Excellent idea and if implemented into the game and it will be the only route in the United Kingdom to use PZB Indusi. All routes in the UK use AWS TPWS DSD except for SEHS TVM-430 KVB VACMA.
I love the Tyne and Wear Metro. It is a brilliant system to ride on and has some very unique stations. Thank you for suggesting this. I really hope that dovetail consider making this route.
I would suggest that you set it post metro flow project and around the time of the class 555's replacing the metrocars. The rolling stock I would include would be the Metrocars, Class 555, British Rail Class 158 Express Sprinter (for Northern Services between Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland via the Durham Coast Line) & British Rail Class 66 (for the odd freight train on the Tyne and Wear Metro).
