Hi, I live in the North East of England and I have always wanted to have a local route within the game to play on. That’s why I am writing to consider the Tyne and Wear metro as being your next route. The system has 60 station and serves 44 miles of track. This system serves lots of great locations such as Newcastle airport, 3 sport venues and the coast. The system is unique as it has a Pretzel shape as one line passes through the same station (monument) twice! Theirs 2 lines which run every 10-12 mins and the central area runs every 5-6 mins. Theirs is also gosforth depo where trains and maintained is stored. Theirs also the Tyne dock which can have freight locomotives running their. The stock could either be the current 994s or the brand new class 555 made by Stadler! There could also be an addition of northern services using the already made class 158 for the new line to ashington and trains between Newcastle central station and Sunderland. I belive this route could be very popular with players as it is the first route in the north east of England.
You've overlooked the Tees Valley route but I agree- most of the Metro runs on former suburban lines dating back to NER days or before. There's little variety in stock or services to run (more now with the new units you mention) but perhaps maintenance trains would be an option.
Yes we need this in tsw this would give people from the iconic place in England to take driving to the test to drive the 559/994s or the new stadler 555s
