It’s an amazing route from Newcastle airport to South Shields! The locos have PZB which I didn’t know, my local station is Pelaw, I could help with any recon with stations, as in videos and photos

They don't - well, not in the way that German trains do. All they have is the 2000Hz train stop aspect of it, for if a driver SPADs or goes too fast over an open crossing or into a terminus. A bit more about it: Doing Airport to South Shields would be an interesting run - that would mean the line be set pre-December 2005 when the Green Line went to Shields. Here's a map from 2002 when the extension to Sunderland opened: Stations between Gateshead and Jesmond inclusive, as well as St James, Manors, Sunderland, Park Lane and Regent Centre are underground. From the 2003 timetable, off-peak there was a train every 12 minutes (as there still is today) on weekdays, with extra services in the peak as far as Pelaw. Total journey time through the whole line was 47 minutes. Metro have always used the same trains, from 1996 to 2005, they were painted in red & yellow, Blue & yellow or green & yellow with a yellow triangle and the "m-blem" on the doors. In 2005, this was updated to feature solid yellow doors, and they were gradually upgraded to have digital destination screens, and from about 2008, automatic next stop announcements. There's already a suggestion for the entire Metro on here. Somewhere.
