Route Tyne & Wear Metro

    This would be quite a large route but it could be broken down into the 2 main routes. Airport to Sunderland (Green Line) and the Coast Circle including Central Station and St James (Yellow Line) would take in the River Tyne and the bridges too.

    Awesome idea but as someone who never travelled on there 1. What form does signalling take ie semophore colour lights or a mix ? Also how many stations n what type (s) rolling stock could we expect?

    AFAIR signalling is based on standard UK MAS (colour light).

    It would be nice, but my dream would be a North/South Tyneside network set back when the service was still entirely diesel operated, large Class 101's. Or even more fantasy when the routes were previously electrified on the third rail system and used a combination of original LNER EMU's and a variation on the Southern EPB design.
