select routes select route filter oops no controller action has any effect on my PS5 I could try using my bluetooth mouse, but ... Should i try to filter using my Bluetooth keyboard ? Yes, it's me, your Retail PS5 post-Beta tester.
required steps opt for toutes in main play menu up d-pad as if about to type in a filter, but then simply right d-pad for country filter pop-up it says L2 R2 but no button other than big O to close it does anything.
Hi, thank you for flagging this. On further investigation, this was raised before the patch went out, but regrettably slipped under the radar until now. I will be following up with this internally. To my knowledge, there is no workaround for players limited to a platform that only official supports controller input. Therefore, rendering the filter menu non-functional for now. I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience!
... and another 'slip under the radar' just like that, just like dozens of times before ... ... and that's not even counting the miscommunications, since there is apparently nobody to proof read any media release? Quality obviously not Assured before release, and now we should wait for weeks, months, years, till the cows come home for a fix, a patch that breaks many other things?
I notice that pressing “T” to check the timetable on PC is broken now. (If you spawn on foot, then take over a timetabled service).
After the recent update 10 min ago I noticed an update menu to spawn train. That not a bug thought. The real bug is when you get to filter part to select your control or country. It won't let you select either of those. Not sure if the image would help figure out this bug. Looking closely only the controls and country are high lighted but, everything isn't. Plush I can move and select train while the filter is up. Please get this fix when get a chance Dovetails
Everything shows up as "On foot" now in the T key timetable ingame. But hey collected collectables are now yellow! .....and they still spill over the side of their UI box. I swear, it's like patches are regressions
Just checked on my XB1X, and it is the same thing, It is Fubard, NOTHING works as it did; it was working Fine. Why was there a need to Fix what was or did look or seem broken? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, leaving my PC-Steam version offline Read only so NO Files will update.
The "on foot" bug has been reported by another player, who reached out to Dovetail Support yesterday. It has been flagged to the relevant teams for further investigation.
Not sure if it’s related but I had an instance last night of the keyboard input completely switching off. Previously this has occurred after one of the splash screens has popped up while driving, but this time occurred on its own. I had to repeatedly right and left click the mouse, plus mash the keyboard before it came back. This on PC, obviously.
OldVern , to be honest, I've never heard of or experienced a problem like that. Is the keyboard wireless? Do you have any other controllers that could be providing conflicting inputs?
No the keyboard is wired via USB. I have a cordless mouse and a wired gamepad also plugged in via USB (oh plus printer but that’s normally switched off )but that’s all. The “subliminal” flashes started a couple of months ago, not sure if it was after a patch and caused the loss of control temporarily. Prior to that, same hardware setup and no issues.
Sorry to hear! If the issue persists, could you get in touch with Dovetail Support, please? Technical details and examples will be key to investigating such an issue.
Renamed the thread to better describe the content. A descriptive thread title really helps others find information and prevents duplicate threads popping up. Threads with "click bait" titles will be lost over time and become irrelevant.
Just an idea, with PCs and the multiple USB devices connected to the PC, and sometimes the USB Controller(s) gets a bit overtaxed, and it just does not want some or many devices to work properly. Something that I learned a while ago from an old Windows support post, and it worked like a charm. I have used these steps several times. 1) Unplug all USB devices [This includes cables] The system will at times see the cable as a USB device, "Yes, crazy, I know" I said the same thing, but I did just that: I unplugged everything. 2) Go to start -> Power -> Shut down "not the power button" 3) Turn off the power supply switch on the back of ya PC. 4) Wait Ten(10) minutes. Doing this will let the capacitors discharge as they always hold some charge. 5) Plug in all USB devices and turn on the Power Supply switch, boot up the PC. This works most times without fail before doing the USB driver uninstall/reinstall; it does a basic refresh, and more often than not it gets everything working nice.
I also confirmed this on the Steam version. When I press T in timetable mode, the service number is broken. I am using a translation software, so please excuse any inappropriate expressions.
Same situation on Series S as well, which is to be expected. Also displaying "On Foot" when viewing the HUD schedule (press and hold View button).
PS5 Not only does everything appear to be on foot, but they have stopped adding points to the timetable for reaching the destination, or for the passenger load.
