I’m a returning player having stepped away from the game back when it was TSW2 (life things got in the way!), anyways I recently bought the special edition of TSW5 for my PS5 and noticed there wasn’t a lot on sale at the moment to build up the collection. However I did come across this UK expansion bundle and saw you get a lot for your money, but I was just wondering if anyone else bought it and if so what you thought of it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
If you don't already own SEHS (TSW2 route originally) and MML (TSW3) then I'd say go for it. It's less than the cost of 2 routes plus the 2 extra trains. The Thameslink 700 adds services to SEHS, as does the RHTT which also adds services to other routes too.
For those routes and locos absolutely. Sehs is a very varied route and the 700 adds to it really nicely, and mml, despite being short, also has lots of replay value. Good price considering how much dlc is nowadays
You will get A LOT of playability on the SEHS with the 700 and RHTT - the 700 adds that extra traffic between Dartford and Rainham so even the Class 465/9, 385 and 395 get extra AWS action and a much busier route. The MML doesn't come with freight by default iirc so the RHTT will add ~8 services along the day - the Class 43 and 158 are supurb though and they are both still top 5 UK routes. Absolutely worth it if you don't own anything on the pack already and the Class 37/7 (ROG) add on will also offer both of those routes some additional services (10 for SEHS & 3 for MML) as well as the two (soon to be 3) cargo line packs giving the MML a boat load of freight as an additional purchase later on down the track
Appreciate this thread's a month old but just a note, if you have SEHS for TSW2, the TSW3 and up version is expanded to Ashford and Dartford, and includes the 465 and freight by default. MML has freight through layers but not much, but Skyhook do a series of 'Cargo Line' packs, there's currently two - aggregates and petroleum, which add more freight to other routes too.
