As I'm not a PC user I don't have access to TS2021 but I'm really enjoying TSW2 on PS4 Pro and TSW2020 prior to that but there are however several things that I'd like to see in the game. My wish list is based purely on my experiences on PS4 Pro. I'm sorry if I'm asking for features that already exist on other platforms, I'm aware that each software platform has different capabilities and I really appreciate all of the effort that already goes into the game. In case you can't tell from this list, I live in the UK so it's all related to what I'm the most familiar with. Features More passengers! I'm aware that AI can be quite CPU draining however as all of the NPC are linear in terms of not being able to interact with them it surely must be possible to increase the population on platforms without losing too much performance. Running a peak time service with only one or two passengers getting on in central London can be a bit disappointing. This is just a little tweak but having an NPC platform dispatcher to blow a whistle when it's time to depart the station would be brilliant! I believe that this may already be in the works having watched a recent live stream from Dovetail but automated announcements about upcoming destinations and safety messages would be nice. I'd really like to see dynamic weather added to the game, I much preferred the external camera system on TSW2020 and I'd really like to have the option of positioning my camera how I would like it and saving it as a preset. DLC I'm really glad to see the GWE route brought over to TSW2 however it would be really nice to see the GWR BR 800 IET added to the route alongside the retired now GWR Class 43. Extending the route out towards Swindon be nice too, but I know we'd all rather see new routes added instead. CrossCountry would be a fun add-on, for example Cheltenham Spa to Cardiff, with a Class 220/221 Voyager or Class 170 Turbostar. Southwest trains Waterloo to Kingston/Richmond using the BR Class 455.
For some UK Routes, I'd like to see the Elizabeth Line, London - Brighton, all of the Underground Lines, all of the Overground Lines, Merseyrail, WCML North and South, and the Southeastern Main Line. This isn't even the bulk of things I want to see from the UK appear In TSW 2.
Same here for living in the UK. I did start with TSW2020 and then moved to TSW2. I do have TS21 on Steam but only use it once in a while when I fancy a route change to drive something different. Definitely more passengers needed on consoles. It's like a ghost town and ghost train all the time. This is the issue with them only showing new routes etc on PC. We see exactly what we are missing in console. The camera choices on TSW2020 were so much better (more choices). However, iirc if you change your settings to classic controls, you can have the boom cameras and front/rear cameras. . DTG has already stated that the IET class 800s (aka Azuma's on the ECML) won't be coming to GWE because it's set in 2015 so was pre-upgrade. A route extension would be nice but again, DTG has said that they aren't doing route extensions at all. Cross country would be nice, especially as I've ridden on the voyagers a lot between Cheltenham and Leeds (when they were Virgin brand). I'd prefer a northern route though as the south already has 3 routes in TSW2 (ECW, SEHS and GWE) as well as Bakerloo line. We in the north only have 2 routes and neither of them are modern.
I'd like to see the North Wales coastal line thrown into the hat, though admittedly through nothing more than pure nostalgia, I'd like to wind back the years and have it in the 80s - 90s era when the trains were still blue, very clackerty and just a bit old and knackered. They were old, noisy, dirty, rarely ran to time, had almost warm tea and 3 day old cheese sandwiches on the buffet trolley and stunk of pee the closer you got to the ends of the carriages...but they sure had character and memories galore. It might be just that bit too far for the game to handle in terms of mileage, but Chester - Holyhead would be great, passing under the Roman city walls at Chester, heading out into the stunning views of the Dee valley, passing the what seems forever entombed British Railways TSS Duke of Lancaster steamer (yes, there is a BR ship on the route!), ploughing on through the North Wales coastal holiday towns of yesteryear between Ryhl and Colwyn Bay, passing alongside Conwy castle, skirting the edges of the Mynydd y Dref extinct volcano and it's self destructed Mt. Saint Helens like west face, crossing the Britannia Bridge with the Menai Bridge off to the east, trundling through the rolling countryside of Anglesey and passing RAF Valley, before heading across the water to Holyhead and pulling into the busy little fishing and ferry port and a well deserved pint in the Castle pub. Ah, memories. I can almost feel the ammonia like aromatic charm of the toilets singeing my nostrils now.
