Is it ok to uninstall/remove these apps from the app listings on C drive? If they are removed, will it remove the items from railworks folders? I need space on my C drive as it's only a 256GB SSD and other apps I need don't have enough space to install.
the files are all stored in your railworks folder (which i assume is on a different drive) so you won't get any space back by removing them. and if you uninstall them it'll remove the files from the railworks folder too.
Ok, so why are the installers on my C drive (windows) if my railworks folder is on e drive and I already installed the packs to the railworks folder?
interesting, mine is the same. i would assume it's due to being an old type of installer. so maybe there is a temp MSI left around somewhere on C: then. i haven't investigated though and i can't say if it's safe to remove or not. uninstalling it from this installed apps list would definitely remove the railworks files though.
I think Windows is incorrectly reporting the files as being on the C:\ drive. I also did a search in Apps for UKTS on my C Drive and got a similar result. When I look for UKTS on my C drive I just get this It is possible the uninstall files are on the C drive but I'm not sure But the full size files are not on the C drive as the game would not see them. You should be able to delete the installers via File mangler without losing them in the game (since you have already installed them). I'd suggest backing them up somewhere else in case you need to do a reinstall at some future date. Good luck, Neil
Thanks Neil. I have the original download files stored on another internal HDD and railworks installed on an internal SSD. Idk why all of my 256gb M2 SSD has used up most of its available memory (237 GB with only 16GB remaining). I need to upgrade the M2 to a larger one and clone the drive as it's the C drive so runs Windows (running Win 11 now).
