I am not sure why anyone thinks that a train drivers life is all exciting driving stuff. Try doing the Bakerloo line 4 times in a row LOL or the Drayton Park - Moorgate shuttle 9 times in a row! Then have your snap break and do it another 9 times!
I get that, but I feel like there's a difference between actually being on a train, feeling the rumble of the locomotive and the weight of the load being pulled and also getting paid pretty handsomely versus sitting on a couch or an office chair with a controller in your hand. But you are correct -- a simulation is a simulation of that specific duty. It would be MUCH more tolerable if it were real life is basically what I'm saying.
