Hi - I am trying to launch Train Simulator on Steam after not playing for a long time, and in the meantime getting a new PC. The game gives me the choice for 64 bit version or 32 bit version, but whichever one I launch it is not working. The game is not crashing with any particular error message - the screen goes black for a second or two and then it throws me back to the desktop. Steam reports that the game is running, but every time I click on it in the taskbar, the above same thing happens - black screen then thrown back to desktop. I am using an ulta wide monitor in 5120 x 1440 resolution, but even when I changed the resolution to standard HD I am still getting the same problem. cheers
Hi - unfortunately that didn't work - it still has the same issue (I tried deleting the file several times and trying several different screen resolutions and I also tried putting the executable in Win7 compatibility mode.
Right click on Train simulator then go down then choose properties then go to Local Files. then do a verify integrity of game files. Hopefully this should solve your problem.
So TS was successfully installed on your C drive? Or is it on another drive letter? If the latter, you have to tell it to look there.
