I keep getting the following error message, about one in ten attempts to start the game. The only solution appears to be a full reinstall, which is inconvenient considering it's nearly 200gb. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?
I would suggest before you attempt a reinstall do a integrity check first could save a lot of time and frustration.
After integrity check ^^ (hope this helps!) U can try: 1. backup this folder (your in-game progress and settings) C:\Users\your-user-name\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld2 2. remove this folder 3. try to start the game 4. restore data You need from the backup PS If You are using mods - remove them temporarily. Re-installing: there is no need to remove all DLCs in that case. You can backup DLC folder, then manage your DLCs (turn everything OFF), re-install TSW, restore DLCs from backup, manage your DLCs again (turn everything ON), start the game.
Thank you both. I've tried the verify integrity option and most recently its only been a small download but previously its been almost as large as a redownload. I will favour this option in future. I was more querying why it is constantly recurring, more than ten times now. Never an issue with other steam titles
I would submit a ticket and let DTG know that this seems to be a re-occurring issue, they may have some suggestions as to what might be causing this to happen.
