TSW has seen a lot of route releases and a plethora of new rolling stock appearing. The routes come with rolling stock that are tailored to their individuals experiences. This comes with the advantage of having trains branded with regional decals such as bwegt, Westfrankenbahn etc. that give them local identity on the route. However, due to layering of said trains more often than not those trains also appear on routes far away from their origin. This then leads to seeing a BR642 from the Westfrankenbahn on Bremen Oldenburg (which is like 300km away) or a BR425 with Niedersachen Decals rolling down the Kinzigtalbahn (also very far away from their region). So seeing a train that doesnt fit in at all in a timetable, or used in Free-Roam can be a big immersion killer for a lot of people as those trains often dont fit at all. My proposal to combat this is to additionally include an unbranded variant of already branded trains. More specifically, I propose including an unbranded version of the trains with every release, additional to the regional branded trains (not replacing the branded trains, rather being an additional option to chose from). So the BR642 from Maintalbahn for instance would be a blank BR642 with the DB, but no regional logos ("bwegt, Westfrankenbahn") on it - effectively not limiting it's use to a certain region/route. This would be technically somewhat on the easier side of things to implement as it would only require removing already present decals - limiting the workload of including them seperately in a route/release greatly and also may be a suitable option if certain contractors revoke their license. This new/additional consist of the train would not even be needed to be spawnable for players, as it could only serve for the game to use it as the variant to include in other timetable that may layer said train in (So the release route is instructed to use BR642 [BRANDED] while the layer route (e.g. Frankfurt-Fulda) is instructed to use the BR642 [UNBRANDED] consist). Unbranded 642 from H enjoyer In my opinion. doing this would greatly improve the layering system and full timetables, as now a big immersion-breaker in layered timetables would be effectively gone.
