Here's a suggestion for another Union Pacific route for TSW. This one is a flatter run over the prairies of Nebraska. The route runs from Omaha (where UP's Headquarters are located) to North Platte, NE. Union Pacific is well known for its massive and powerful locomotives: from the Big Boys and Challengers to the DDA40Xs and Gas Turbines. This route is also home to the largest freight yard in the world, UP's Bailey Yard in North Platte. The massive yard is over 8 miles long and 2 miles wide at its widest point! As for possible locomotives, I'd suggest 2-3 of the following: 1.) UP GP60/GP62/GP60E; a new loco for TSW; instead of the ubiquitous GP38-2; for yard switching and local freight duties 2.) UP SD70M; another new loco in game; UP rosters almost 1400 of these; for local freights, some heavy yard duties, and also mainline freights; multiple versions of SD70M included with route 3.) UP C45AH (ET44AC); also a new loco; for heavy freight services 4.) UP AC6000CW/C4460AC/C44ACM rebuild; new loco; for heavy freights 5.) UP SD90-43MAC; new loco; for heavy freights 6.) UP C45ACCTE (ES44AC); repainted NS ES44AC; for heavy freights 7.) UP SD70AH-T4; new loco, and one I really want to see in game; for heavy freights Also, the UP SD70ACe (Sherman Hill), GP38-2 (Peninsula Corridor), SD40-2 (Cane Creek/Sherman Hill), and AC4400CW (Cane Creek) could also be used on a UP North Platte-Omaha, Nebraska route. This route needs some new rolling stock, including cement hoppers, autoracks, intermodal well cars, ethanol tank cars, grain hoppers, coal gondolas or hoppers, etc. in UP livery. Also, some of the locomotives could be painted in UP's New Corporate Livery. If this route is added to TSW, I'd love to see Bailey Yard and be able to perform yard switching, hostler duties, and mainline freight operations.
If DTG develops this route, I will delete the game. For the past five years, DTG has kept the route mileage at 40-50 miles, except for the annual mileage. Of course, if fans develop this route through the editor, I think the possibility is much greater.
