Hello everyone I am back with a great suggestion for another American route in Train Sim World. Now before we start I want to let all of you know that I'm aware about American Freight content being on hiatus. However it recently sounded like with the announcement of the SP Ore Line route, the NYC- Stamford Route, and the GP60M/GP60B. I would say that this would be a great time to suggest some American freight content. The Rawlins Subdivision is part of the original stretch of the very first transcontinental railroad built back in the 1860's by the Union Pacific Railroad. The Rawlins Subdivision runs between Rawlins and Green River Wyoming. Scenic highlights of the route include the high deserts and the Great Divide basin. The Rawlins Subdivision passes through sparse terrain, before rolling into the oasis of Green River, a crew change point, and the beginning of the Evanston Sub. In my opinion this would be a great route to add to TSW because of the scenery but also because of the lines historical significance. Plus the start and end point on the route make sense because Rawlins and Green River are crew change points. Now with the description out of the way here's what I suggest for locomotives and rolling stock. The GE ET44AH The EMD SD70M Now lets say that DTG decides to make a separate add-on, here's what I suggest. The C44ACM (Rebuilt version of the AC6000CW). TTX 53 FT Well cars. TTX Centerbeam cars. Other rolling stock can just be recycled from both Cane Creek and Sherman Hill. Anyways that is all I need to say, thanks.
The C45AH (ET44AC on UP), GP60, and SD70M are must-have UP power for TSW. I would like the AC6000CWs/C4460ACs/C44ACMs too. Another couple of good loco ideas for this route (and Sherman Hill) would be SD90-43MACs/SD90MAC-Hs (including Ph. II cab versions too), C40-8s/C40-8Ws, C41-8Ws, SD70AH-T4s, C45AHs (ES44ACs on UP), SD59MXs (rebuilt SD60Ms), C44-9Ws/C44ACMs, SD60s, SD60Ms, GP40-2s/Ns, GP40Xs, GP50s, GP39-2s, GP15-1s/Ts/ACs/Ns, MP15DCs, and MP15ACs. We also should get different variations of UP's SD70Ms, including flared-radiator, flat radiator, and newer cab units, along with the new Abraham Lincoln #1616 SD70M. As for the GP60 Spartan Cabs, UP has rebuilt many of theirs as GP62s and GP60Es. We should also get SP/SSW, D&RGW (including patched versions), NS, EMD Demo, ATSF, and BNSF (including patched ATSF versions too) GP60 units. Then we need UP's remaining Heritage Fleet: their rebuilt trio of E9s. And with updates to steam locos coming soon, we should absolutely get the UP FEF-3 #844, UP #3985 Challenger (no longer on roster, but should be included), and UP Big Boy #4014. Then we should get UP DDA40X #6936 and her sisters in game too. What about getting a classic UP 1950s-70s version of this route? We could get some awesome locomotives, including UP's giant Alco C855s, GE U50s and U50Cs, EMD DD35s/DD35As, and their massive and powerful Gas Turbines (especially the Big Blow 3-Unit Turbines). As for other diesels for this version of the route, we could see SD24s, GP30s/GP30Bs, GP35s (which also worked with the DD35s), Alco FA-1s/FB-1s, EMD F3As/Bs, FM Erie-Builts, SD7s, GP20s, GP7s/GP9s, NW2s, SW1500s, etc.
I like your suggestions. As for locomotives such as the Dash 8's and a lot of the older EMD power. I was thinking that those locomotives should be included in a 1990's form of the route. Plus I would also like to see some Amtrak content be added since Amtrak operated in Wyoming throughout most of the 90's.
