This weeks theme will be: "Free for All" (just whatever you guys would like)
I have some ideas but they aren't stellar. Want to see what the others are posting. Case in point, don't be discouraged from the lack of instant entries. Hints to self: my snake, my fastest.
Decided to change the theme to a free for all since I didn't have any good ideas. I also forgot the poll in the original so I guess that's an issue as well...

ATS / Imbue Studios Class 185 out for a test run on the ATS West Coast Mainline (aka The Missing Link)
At this festive time of year thought this shot to be appropriate. Keeping thousand of families Xmas wishes alive, 90018 rescues a failed 12 car mail train and speeds it's way from Stafford to Shieldmuir Depot. Loco:- AP Class 90, AP Class 325 Route:- ATS WCML (aka The Missing Link)
Two classics of commuter rail transport in the North of the UK, both now retired. At either end of the spectrum one was a converted road bus, the other a 125mph get you there cruiser. Locos:- Class 142 Pacer "Nodding Donkey", Buffered Class 43 HST Route:- (DPS) North East England.
Only the fittest worked this signal box, you would not want to leave your lunch in the car too often. Do they have toilets in signal boxes ??? Loco:- Grand Central Class 43 HST Route:- (DPS) North East England
"At last it has landed", the all new AP 800 - 803 EP. and jolly nice it looks too, cracking along the Chat Moss Route.
My shots aren't as stellar, but here they go. So I'm forgoing the 1 shot per post but keep it under 3 I'm not too inspired (yet again) but these shots came to my mind when the original theme - Record - was published. 1) Cheating at snake - While certainly not the longest train ever, CMP certainly has the longest ones I've driven. (The actual longest is the coal train starting at Golden.) You can see the train crossing under itself while descending through Yoho - the scene of a recent incident. (You know the consist setup is 2-1-1 engines, so you know there's a lot more on the left.) 2) Longest - Same train a few hours later 3) Fastest - While the actual fastest train is either the LGV or some Japanese bullet, my fastest so far has been the Maglev. I've shared this in the recent Far East topic (including the night shots) so it might be familiar.
A class 158 Transpennine Express service passes through the countryside en-route to Liverpool on a summer afternoon. These Transpennine Express services were operated by Arriva Trains Northern/Northern Spirit between 1997 and 2004. Route: Manchester - Liverpool I used to travel on these units regularly from Doncaster to Scunny between 2001 and 2004 so this Maroon livery with the gold N has a special place in my rail history.
Alright so in 3rd place we have this nice screenshots of a Blue Jubilee by Craigie-C. 2nd place goes to Buynot for this epic blur shot of an I1sa. But 1st place goes to JGRudnick for this amazing plains shot of an intermodal (with the 25th Anniversary Unit) snaking on the plains of Marias Pass. I think the Hi-Line subdivision might be my favorite section of a route ever recreated in TS, both routes are legendary, and I love snake shots lol. (Would be cool if someone made Marias Pass to the same standard as Hi-Line for one continuous route...) But great work to everyone who participated, and I myself hope to participate again soon!
Great shots from everyone in this week's competition! New thread can be found here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-competition-week-36.50004/ Good luck!
