Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Each week's winner becomes Judge & Jury for the week (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum The theme this week is :- Trackside Scenery Entries will close at 9:00 PM BST (8pm GMT) on Friday, September 29th and will be judged by me - cscarpenter In the event of this week's winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, October 1st, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. Good luck and have fun!
Nice theme! Casual coincidence with the rules, I have three ideas. First, just a nice view of some classic UP stock passing a pile of lumber. These wood piles are all along the Coal District, I don't know whether the railroaders start campfires at night, the log wagons are leaky, or some kind soul set them up to help route learning.
Second. You all know my favorite trackside scenery. I try to restrain myself but sometimes I finish a scenario with two shots per gameplay minute, half of which is from ground level, even more so recently as I discovered that with moderate zoom I can compress even more into the shot without distorting the subject too much. (Sarcasm-o-meter 3.6. Not great, not terrible.) Foliage.
Three. Gotta admit this is not a winning shot. Probably. But it's about the concept. You do better, I enjoy looking and we both win. One thing I like about All Aboard routes is how he / they added a lot of life next to the railroad. This scene of Fort Kent is no different. The man waiting at the desk. The woman, I suppose, ordering. Are they a couple? Friends? Then there is the woman by the very European style car with her dog.

Preston, 1960. 45586 Mysore, an Aston-based Jubilee, waits at a signal with a Liverpool-Carlisle express freight, while a Black 5 passes with the 6:20pm Crewe-Windermere and a DMU enters the station with a local to Colne. The centrepiece, however, is the massive signal gantry north of the station, which would sadly be demolished in the early 1970s with electrification.
Greetings all, firstly a huge thanks to everyone for your contributions, I really enjoy seeing the varied interpretations on the theme. However a winner has to be filtered out and I therefore announce this weeks results as:- In joint 3rd Place Craigie-C for this drone type Cable Car shot. and paulc for this cracking container ship & Class 20 capture in 2nd place and runner up for this week, georgeuk90 for this historic Pre-electrification shot at Preston And finally congratulations to triznya.andras for this superb Fort Kent scene,It fits the theme perfectly. To me personally, I just love the busy lineside scenes with tiny detail as opposed to the endless miles of barren landscape that come with some routes, e.g. ECML original LOL I hereby entrust you with the Golden Master Key to take us forward to week 40. Thanks again to all for keeping this thread alive and kicking.
Wow! Thank you. I was cherry picking these pictures hoping you'd enjoy them. After seeing your announcement I went for a little exploration, I'll post a few next week and tag you. A promise Congratulations to everyone else, this ended up being a nice thread, even if a bit short as per late. Setting up the new one in a minute. I decided on Autumn / Colors.
Congratulations to the winners and wonderful submissions this week indeed. Looks like I forgot to submit this week, as it was a busy one for me and went by quick.
