Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition. This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9PM GMT on Friday, October 18th 2024 and will be judged by me - Cunningn#3154. In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 17:00 on October 21st, 2024 a new thread will be created using the results of this weeks poll. The theme for this week is: Farmland.
Cruising though the farmlands that make the Hope Valley so beautiful, 47308 with a rake of Polybulk grain tanks.
92 028 "Oscar Wilde" with a rake of 17 empty ICA wagons cruises through the farmlands alongside the WCML North on a beautiful summer's morning.
No worries mate! With life being busy lately usually I end up submitting my screenshots just a day before the deadline. I plan to submit soon hopefully.
No panic, a lot of us tend to use the weekend as TS time and as this weeks thread wasn't set up till late Sunday (UK time) some of our regular contributors may be having difficulties juggling work & free time. Worst case scenario we can carry it over to next week, as we have done before. It is a great theme with loads of interpretation and I personally believe some serious competition is just around the corner (I am looking at swapping out one of mine tonight, if I get chance). If you wish to carry over to next week, I am more than happy with that.

Please don’t take this in a negative way; I’m not being judgemental or rude. You have a great shot here but out of curiosity; may I ask how this screenshot has a link to the Farmlands theme?
Hi Blazin, thanks for letting me know, No worries, my apologies for putting the screenshot in this thread. I meant to post it to the Train Simulator Classic Screenshots thread. It appears I may have had both tabs open while looking at the screenshots. I will remove from this thread and put it into the Train Simulator Classic Screenshots thread.
That’s ok! No apologies necessary! If you have other shots related to this weeks theme feel free to post if you want to participate.
Do folks want to roll this over to next week (seeing that I was late in posting it up in the first place)?
I'm neutral. Sometimes there are few entries. See official In the past the response was consistently no - to reward those who participated.
In the race south there was only going to be one winner, Class 317 100mph, Tractor 10mph. Loco:- AP Class 317 Route:- MML AP Enhanced
I agree with this; we now have quite a few more submissions so I would say we extending the contest by a week is now unnecessary. And even if there were few submissions; I still wouldn’t extend it either.
Some great entries here. Third is CSCarpenter: Lovely composition and lighting with just enough 'farmer' to qualify ;-) Second is Blazin: Another well composed shot giving a great feel for vast expanses of grazing land (grazin from Blazin??) And first is of three shots by Craigie-C that could have made the podium: This was a difficult choice as I'm not a fan of the stock cabbage field - but the vista of farmland from near to far was too neat not to pick. Well done all.
Thank you for 2nd place; no thank you for the awful pun! Jokes aside congratulations to the other winners.
Oh wow, cheers for the nomination, much appreciated, will get the new thread up and running ASAP. Also mucho congrats to you fellow competitors for taking the time to upload some cracking shots yet again. [EDIT] New thread up and running with the theme "It's All About The Weather". https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-competition-week-43.86281/ Have fun folks, can't wait to see your interpretations.
