Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition! This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Theme for this week: Powerhouse One part cheeky, one part freestyle. Bit of a riddle with many possible solutions. Our rules: Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. You can enter up to 3 pictures, posted separately. You can delete and replace if you wish. TSC only shots allowed. 3rd party content, enhancement and artistic editing is welcome. Thread poster picks the podium and can't enter themselves. The decision is final. The winner chooses the new theme for next week and becomes its judge. We strongly discourage any negativity, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries close at Friday, November 10th EOD (midnight) and will be judged by me Saturday morning. In the event of this week's winner not responding by 8pm EST Sunday, November 12th, a new thread will be created with the theme of freestyle. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun!

Good mornings! A nice collection of entries, lovely to look at. Happy to see good variety. Thanks to everyone for their submissions. 1st place for me is cunningn's shot at Little Barford power station. The haze adds to the already smoky, steamy, dirty atmosphere. Feels like a cold morning. I also enjoy the composition very much, with the view of the wagons, the curve around the pile. 2nd goes to cscarpenter's Merchant Navy Class just outside London Waterloo. Nice catch with the parliament! 3rd is awarded to the GP40 on the N-Line by I'm a railfan obviously. It's a bit of a stretch thematically, however it's definitely suitable for the season. But. Really cool shots with the 66s, the GAD steamer, the 158 opening, and the 43 at Ratcliffe for sure. Again, thank you all. To be fair though, I expected at least one roundhouse shot! cunningn#3154 The key is yours. Better safe than sorry, repeating it: You can set up the next thread with your theme choice, and judge in a week. The forums don't really allow changing OP anymore so no rush.
Thanks - never won a picture comp before next week's will be 'Foreign Parts' - my thought is to stimulate folk to run on anotehr country's metals - but I guess could also apply to use of 'foreign' rolling stock in a domestic setting (wherever 'domestic' is for you).
Thanks man! I didn't see the theme until later on so I didn't manage the get my best shots, but apprecaite it!
Congratulations to the winners! I am excited to participate in the new week's competition, it's an interesting and unique theme!
Congratulations to you podium guys, well deserved. Looking forward to seeing next week's contributions
Major congratulations on a well deserved 1st win with an absolute cracking shot, well done. (also great choice of theme going forward, thumbs up all round)
