Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: • TSC only shots allowed. • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). • The Judge of the week's decision is final. • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9PM GMT on Friday, November 22nd 2024 and will be judged by me - Mfeets In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 17:00 on November 17th, 2024 a new thread will be created using the results of this weeks poll. (Or another weeks poll as I CBA doing a poll ) The theme for this week is: Whole Train Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.
Just about got the whole train in 67023 'Stella' (denamed) storms towards Edinburgh with a SRPS charter.

While requiring 4 EMD SD40-2s for this whole train of only 17 wagons of manifest freight may seem absurd it's good to remember that the climb over the Cajon Pass is a real tough one thanks to it's steep grades as seen as the descent on the left. Union Pacific Railroad EMD SD40-2s '7835', '8167' and '7888' lead this 17 wagon manifest freight train over the top of the Cajon Pass on the Cajon Subdivision section of the Southern Transcon headed on a northbound journey to the sidings at Hesperia, California in the United States of America during a late Spring afternoon. In third place we have paulc with this shot of a tanker train. Love the clouds extending way into the distance. In second place we have CragieC for this shot of a "train." I didn't consider that most of you guys play British content and thus run very short trains, and checking my notification and seeing a one-car train gave me a solid laugh! And in first place, with this shot with excellent focus and lighting, is Blazin. Congrats all, Blazin, you have the reigns!
Thanks for 1st place and congratulations to the other winners! I'll try and have the new thread up within the next 24hrs.
New thread is up! The theme is Short Lived Operators so have fun! https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-competition-week-48.87270/
My intention entirely, I struggled like heck to try and frame an entire freight consist, and then had the lightbulb moment. God bless our little UK branch lines. That is what I love about this thread, you can interpret the theme to your heart's content and just hope the judge likes it, glad you enjoyed it. Many thanks for the podium place, much appreciated.
