Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition!
This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG.

    Theme for this week: Vegetation
Generally, you know me, I like pictures with nature on it.
Also, there is this new pack. Show it off!
There are also some wonderful routes in "unusual" areas with "nonstandard" foliage. Say, Romania.
I'll make sure to judge your idea and execution, so vanilla captures are absolutely welcome.

    Our rules:
    • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme.
    • You can enter up to 3 pictures, posted separately. You can delete and replace if you wish.
    • TSC only shots allowed.
    • 3rd party content, enhancement and artistic editing is welcome.
    • Thread poster picks the podium and can't enter themselves. The decision is final.
    • The winner chooses the new theme for next week and becomes its judge.
    • We strongly discourage any negativity, this is a light hearted & fun contest!
This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so.
    • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum.
Entries close at Friday, December 15th EOD (midnight) and will be judged by me Saturday morning.
In the event of this week's winner not responding by 8pm Sunday, December 17th, a new thread will be created with the theme of Freestyle.

Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun!

Class 56 heading towards Preston on ATS Missing Link, the foliage on this route is amazing & I took this show a few weeks ago to specifically show this off.

With the usual inclement weather being the norm across the Pennine region of the UK, it makes for vast amounts of fast growing vegetation. Luckily today the sun has popped out for an hour of two to show it off in all it's glory, 142035 even went to the extreme lengths of having a reskin to match the purple heather.
    Loco:- AP Class 142
Route:- DTG Manchester - Huddersfield - Leeds Line

    Good morning! Verdict time.

Thank you everyone for your submissions.
First, for the mentions, focusing on the ups:
    • cunningn: Both concepts are fine, the houses through the woods and field view.
    • george: Definitely a cozy scene to sit for lunch or fishing. That utility pole is crazy tall! I can imagine all the cables on it.
    • bellminsterboy: Nice framing and setting!
Bronze goes to cscarpenter's view with a GWR railcar crossing a bridge. Great backdrop!

Silver to Craigie-C's capture of this Light Pacific, with the coaches adding color.

My favorite of the week is paulc's poppy field on the Wherry Lines. Direction of the sun also adds a lot of play to it: the reflections on the train and the occluded trees. Plus of course the coaches adding color.

Thank you for participating, looking forward to the next theme!

I created it with the old title of Week 50 & then had a blonde moment as to how to edit the title (Its been a long day!) So I just created a new thread instead.
