Hi folks, here we are fresh into 2025 with a super duper collection of winter themed shots for me to somehow try and choose a winner, but try I must so here goes:- I have decided to offer a joint 3rd place to both malikrthr for this really lovely atmospheric wintry Acela scene ..... .... and also to Blazin for this cracking winters image, I got the shivers just looking at it, hope the driver's heater was working. Equal 2nd place goes to OldAlaskaGuy for this brilliant Alaska Railroad Christmas train .... .... and also to georgeuk90 for this terrific "Scotrail Santa Special" shot, loved the Christmas decorations on the platform. Which leaves me with honour of announcing our first winner of 2025 as ............... (insert drum roll here) ............ triznya.andras for this glorious winters scene. I loved the low angle perspective, with the winter sun reflecting off of the carriage, the smoke from the chimney melting in to the clouds, just an all round great winter themed image, congratulations.
