20220528134210_1.jpg Weird for Amtrak's Acela to be in Germany but I could also but it as weird because parts of the trains are inside each other.

Prior to the refurbishment of 37/4s, three class 25s were converted to ETH generators (ETHEL) for Mk2 and Mk3 air conditioned stock and used in the Scottish region with steam heating equipped class 37s.

68019 'Brutus' and 68018 'Vigilant' transport low-level nuclear materials from Winfrith to Crewe on an overcast May afternoon. DRS' Class 68 fleet is rarely seen this far South!
Addons used: DTG Southampton - Bournemouth | Armstrong Powerhouse Class 68 EP | WatsonPD PFA Wagon Pack | Reshade

Northern are in the process of converting their Class 319 fleet into Class 769s at Brush in Loughborough so they can operate on non-electrified routes in the Northwest. Class 319369 left Allerton TMD earlier today, headed up the WCML to Lichfield, then to Derby. ROG Class 37800 now drags it on the last leg from Derby to Loughborough Brush where the work can start.

After the Grayrigg rail disaster in 2007, Pendolino 390033 was written off, leaving Virgin short of a train set for its WCML operations. Enter the "Pretendolino", a Class 90 propelled Mark 3 DVT set (WB64). It was pressed into service and refurbished into the same livery as the Pendolinos as a stop gap. Seen here waiting at Crewe.

The UK royal train is definitely unique.
Crossing the countryside with a fitting claret 67.
I realized eventually that the this guard Mk2 is facing the wrong direction (in the default consist) so I flipped and restarted.
Still, it reminds me of long distance (bus) services where having curtains is common. Feels cozy.

I don't think GWR will take someone's phone app seriously, don't worry. The trains have much more sophisticated speed logging equipment on board.

That's the third time this week I've managed to post a reply to the totally wrong thread, and I've no idea how I'm managing to do it LOL
