Seen from another angle I thought about offering this shot in the Official Screenshot comp. (theme being trackside signage) but decided the AP police might have something to say regarding Loco/ Route etc LOL
well, it's just not right to submit screenshots of interesting subjects in the official competition, we can't be having that.
I splurged on the AP 37 & some stuff for it to pull! 2x Loadhaul 37`s about to run around their train at Edge Hill & head south on the WCML. AP 37 Vol1 + AP HAA`s ATS Missing link

Now seeing that sign takes me back to when I had to drive through Leeds almost every day for work. They did a really good job recreating that.
I suppose the concern is that people with enhancements and interesting liveries will dominate those without, hence it becomes mandatory. Technical ability behind the shot is just part of having a good one, but still. It's not easy to define rules where most everyone is on equal footing. By the way, something I'm pondering for a while, some offerings are a bit painting-like, impressionist, artistic, pronounced, while others strive for realism.
In this thread? I can't see anything painting-like. That wouldn't be a problem in this competition though, as the point is, you can use whatever stock, livery or graphical modification you like... unlike the official DTG thread. In that, it makes sense that everyone is using stuff that you can obtain from Steam, or it's not a true representation of what you can actually buy from Steam.

There have been quite a few nice screenshots this week, after quite a bit of thought here's the top three: In third place: Blazin The angle, framing, and lighting of this shot is excellent. My only nitpick is that the manifest is far too uniform for my tastes. In second place: Craigie-C Lighting, angle, and location are all excellent, I just hope the BTP didn't notice you climbing up to take this one. And now for first: Pookeyhead can notch another well deserved win on his belt This one just pops, lighting, framing, and location are all great for this one, and whatever RWE or Reshade setting you have really just makes this look incredible. There were quite a few nice screenshots this week, well done everyone. Over to you Pookeyhead.
