Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 09:00 PM GMT on Friday, March 10th and will be judged by me - cscarpenter In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, March 12th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. This weeks theme will be Sunrise / Sunset, (Why do I feel the new AP weather pack might appear at some point LOL) Have fun all.

I normally don't like this overbright (even though occasionally happens for real), but it adds to this scene I think. NJT ALP-45DP on the NJCL, off the bridges at Newark
For cscarpenter - and whoever else cares. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2942373777 Edit: ha, I just realise it's from a [KTL] scenario, probably the very same the below shot made me curious! Bonus points if I found your Steam profile. In which case, just share this shot, it's great.
Dusk on the Riviera - GWR 158/9 (AP 158/159 Ep) on the BHBPV3 with the AP SWEP V2 installed Caveat, I work for DTG so if you wish to DQ me that's cool but this theme seemed like the perfect time to share this shot
Why would you get DQ for working for DTG, We are all train enthusiasts regardless. And this is the Unofficial Comp, i see no issue.
A triplet of MPVs resting at Wigan L.I.P. on an autum evening after 98903 has finished its duty for the day. ATS Missing Link Goldstar Trains MPV
A DB 101 hauls a rake of 11 coaches over the striking Trisanna viaduct on an early morning service from Lindau Hbf to Munich via Innsbruck. Route: Arlbergbahn
British Railways Peppercorn Class A2 '60532' running tender first with her support coach passes by 10 of the coaches she pulled on a railtour starting at York and ending at King's Cross. Only 50 minutes earlier the train had arrived at King's Cross, the 10 coaches were then pulled off her and taken to this yard. Now '60532' is heading to Bounds Green Depot tender first to stay for the night as the sun starts to set. Locos: British Rail Class 365, LNER Peppercorn Class A2 Route: East Coast Main Line London-Peterborough
What are the rules around Proppelling coaches on the Mainline. I know that its allowed for shunting moves, But curious to the rules around longer movements.
I'm not exactly sure of the rules and regulations surrounding train movements like that in the United Kingdom, but the scenario did tell me that my maximum permitted speed heading tender-first was 50 miles per hour.
Route: Karawakenbahn Train: OBB 1116 RSSLO. A nice sunrise over the Dinaric alps in Slovenia without the sun visible. (CTRL+SHIFT+F1 used).
Route: West Rhine Koln-Koblenz Train: DB BR 155, DB BR 146.2. One of my personal favourites. A DB BR 155 passing a stopeed 146.2 outside of koblenz on a early sunrise. (Same thing used as above).
ReShade, but you can do it in game as well, but it's just a bit trickier as the game tends to focus on what's in the centre of the screen more.
Hi all, firstly my apologies for being late with the results, had a bit of a messy family do last night and am just about recovering. LOL Nevertheless here we go better late than never. Again another week of great selection of entries to chose from but I hve weedled them down to:- In joint 3rd Place Paulc for this stunning MPV Capture and Craigie-C for this beautiful Conwy Castle Shot. In Joint 2nd and on the equal runner up podium is Blazin with this wonderfully framed unusual combination of stock and Pookeyhead for this terrific Fylde Junction shot, love the depth of field. And finally I award 1st place and the honour of week 10 winner to Johnno124 for this amazing frozen in time image with the daylight starting to fade. Just love the combination of North to South / South to North and East to west movement all at the same time well done. A massive thank you to all for taking the time and effort to contribute, it is always an absolute pleasure viewing your selections week in, week out. Johnno124 I leave you with the honour of taking us forward to week 11 with a theme of your choice, the golden Master Key is all yours. Good luck to all.
Thanks for joint 3rd, can't wait for the next comp! Well done everyone else & especially Johnno124 for the excellent winning picture!
I hope he replies and puts a new thread up by 5pm, as the vote had no clear winner. What happens under those circumstances?
Suppose we will have to go with the theme of Early Diesels passing some Water in adverse Weather Conditions LOL. Seriously I suggest if we don't here from Johnno by close of play we could offer a choice from the three or maybe just go with the option of a Freestyle week. I am happy either way.
Yeah, I reckon freestyle would be good if there's no clear alternative. He's got three hours though yet.
I vote one that I like and it wins. Simple! Activity shows Johnno is showing up every other day or so, likely going to miss it. (Unjinx did work a few times, but intentional unjinx is bending the laws of space and time, so might not this time!)
Sadly we have not had any response from Johnno124 so I have decided to default to a theme of Freestyle for next week as there was a 3 way tie for this weeks poll winner. The new thread is up and running here:- https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-contest-2023-week-11.65892/ Good luck to you all.
My Apologies for not responding this week. Had a rather busier weekend than i was anticipating. Thanks for the Win and good luck all in the next comp.
No worries, I fully understand how a complete weekend can disappear in the blink of an eye, happens to us all at some point.
