Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9:00 PM GMT on Friday, April 14th and will be judged by me - bellminsterboy In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, April 16th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. This weeks theme will be Reflections- you are free to interpret this as you wish. An example photo has been provided below if you are stuck or need ideas and a list of routes with particularly good reflection potential has also been provided. Good luck to you all and Happy Easter!
Example shot only, it does not need to be a copy of this. Route: Frankfurt-Koblenz Some routes that I have noted to have particularly good reflections include: Frankfurt-Koblenz Gotthardbahn WCML South North Wales Coastal Riviera Line Arlbergbahn Three Country Corner Giselabahn This is by no means an exhaustive list, there will be others. Also note that the quality of reflections in all routes can be increased by dragging the 'water quality' slider in the graphic settings to the right.
A very long train (for the RGS) rounds a corner above Trout Lake, with it's reflection visible in the beautiful mountain water.

Thank you all for your entries, some really stunning shots. I'd like to 'Highly Commend' the following by: TrainsAreBest Blazin I award third place to Ardaeshir - loved the way the bridge was set up here, beautiful. I award second place to Craigie-C - the sunset reflections here were just stunning. And first place to Cscarpenter - very simplistic but it works, with perfect reflections of the loco, the bridge, wagons and shrubs. Brilliant! Well done everyone.
OMG, Thanks a million bellminsterboy, I am genuinely gobsmacked, looking at all the other fantastic offerings this week I really did not expect a win with that shot. IMHO this week has seen some of the best screenshots I have seen in ages, well done to all. Next week's thread is up and running with the theme "It's All About The Freight" https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-contest-2023-week-16.69298/ Good luck to you all.
Many congrats cscarpenter on a brilliant winning shot and also to everyone else for taking the time and effort to share their terrific reflection themed captures, I really enjoy viewing your contributions every week. Cheers bellminsterboy for the runner up award, I will take a podium placing any week.
Congratulations to the winners and thank you for featuring my screenshot as well. This was a great week!
Congratulations everyone and thanks for a place on the podium! This was a hard theme for me to be honest. Oh your stuff is amazing as always. Your 150 GWR shot was great as well. Oh jolly good! I love freight.
Thanks Ardaeshir, much appreciated, I also preferred my 150 shot and had the Craigie-C Wherry Lines offering as a cast Iron winner and it never even made the podium, but that is what I love about this comp. One man's winner is another man's loser. Always expect the unexpected. LOL Can't wait too see what you guys throw at me, to try to needle out winners is going to be a nightmare, there are already some cracking shots to chose from, Bring them all on I say, Bring them all on.
