On the DTGMatts presentation we could see Sherman Hill trains with mix of locos SD70Aces with ACs or ESs (Im not sure) . Such mix adds so much to immersion and realistic look to these trains. Why not to let ACs to sub into the currenct SH timetable, as it goes in SPG with addon engines?

The UP AC44 subs in as a pusher already if you own Cane Creek.

I think the reason you can’t use them up front was something to do with the older DLC locos not being set up to properly run the longer trains that came with SMH. I could be wrong but I remember someone saying that.

Keep an eye on the rear and you will eventually see a AC, if you have Cane Creek:

Edit: keep in mind this was TSW2, I haven’t played the route in a while just assuming it carried over into TSW3.

I just watched the preview vid again and I see what you mean, most of the consists have AC44s up front. That’s definitely new, doesn’t happen in the game currently. I wonder if that is coming with the new update?

Been asking myself just this one question from this, why would anyone want to drive an AC44 from Cane Creek on Sherman Hill?

Yeah, honestly I wish DTG did their own version of the AC44 in a UP configuration, the Cane Creek one by SHG is extremely off and not up to par.

Yeah, this format of upgrading older routes alongside releasing some new add-on for them is something that looks really promising. Improve on old content with a chance to make a quick bucks. Win-win for everybody.
