I just suggested some new BNSF locos for Cajon Pass. Now it's time for a Union Pacific loco DLC pack suggestion list. -Mainline power: -UP C45ACCTE (ES44AC): UP rosters a large number of ES44ACs (over 1200 of them). They are equipped with CTE (Controlled Tractive Effort) software for DPU (distributed power unit) operations. The latest units are designated C45AHs and are ballasted heavier like CSX's ES44AHs) These engines would come painted in UP's large flag livery and maybe their new corporate livery with the small flag on the sides of the nose. -UP C45AH (ET44AC): These are the Tier 4 GEVOs. UP rosters 200 of these. They would be painted in both the older large flag livery and the new livery. -UP SD70M: I'm amazed that we don't have UP SD70Ms in TSW. UP has over 1400 of them. UP has a couple versions of their SD70Ms with different nose and radiator designs. These would be painted in UP's large flag livery as well as the livery without the flag. -UP SD70AH-T4: UP is currently the only railroad to roster these new Progress Rail/EMD diesels. The SD70AH-T4 (as UP calls their SD70ACe-T4s) are Tier 4 compliant and have several major upgrades over previous locomotive designs. UP rosters 100 of these big EMDs. -UP AC6000CW/C60AC/C4460AC/C44ACM Rebuild: The AC6000CW was GE's most powerful diesel locomotive design at 6000HP. Because of mechanical and other issues with the 6000HP 7HDL-16 Prime Mover, UP has since converted their 6000HP C60ACs to use GE's reliable 4400HP 7FDL-16 Prime Mover. UP has been rebuilding their C60ACs into C44ACMs with upgrades to their engines and electrical systems. These would be painted in both the flag and new liveries. -Yard/Local Power: -GP60/GP62/GP60E Rebuild: We need a new US 4-Axle diesel loco in TSW. I'd like to see UP's GP60s and/or GP62 rebuilds in game. These locos would be perfect for heavy yard switching and local freight operations on Sherman Hill. The current UP GP60s are ex-SP/SSW and ex-D&RGW locos. Some have been upgraded and reclassified as GP62s. -GP40N Rebuild: UP rosters a bunch of ex-SP/SSW, ex-WP, and D&RGW GP40-2s (plus some other railroads) that they have since converted into GP40Ns (they have the same upgrades as the SD40Ns and GP38Ns already in game). -GP22-T4 Rebuild: These are 10 Tier 4-Compliant rebuilds of UP GP38-2s with Cummins prime movers. -3GS-21B Genset Switcher: UP is the largest user of these eco-friendly switchers. They have 3 separate engines that each power a generator (hence the name Genset). The engines can be turned on or off depending on how much power is needed for a job. Plus, the engines turn on and off automatically to save fuel. GP15-1/GP15N Rebuild: UP uses these as yard switchers. All are ex-MP, C&NW, and C&EI RR GP15-1s. -Other Diesel Locos: -SD90MAC-H/SD90MAC-H Ph. II (6000HP versions)/SD90-43MAC (4300HP version) -SD59MX Rebuild (ex-UP SD60Ms) -GP39N (Rebuilt GP39-2s) -C44-9W (And rebuilt AC44C6Ms/C44ACMs) -C40-8W/C41-8W -SD60M -UP E9m A-B-A Heritage Fleet Set -UP DDA40X #6936: sold to Railroading Heritage of Midwest America (RRHMA) -Steam Locos: -UP #4014 Big Boy: Need I say more? It's a Big Boy! We need this engine for Sherman Hill (and even other routes as well) for excursion trains The passenger cars should be included with the UP Steam Program pack. -UP #844 FEF-3 4-8-4: Again, need I say more? We need #844 for Sherman Hill in a UP Steam Program pack. -UP #3985 Challenger: While #3985 was sold to the RRHMA in 2022, the big UP Challenger will be restored to operational status again. We could see #3985 in the UP Steam Program Pack, too. -UP 4-12-2: A big UP freight hauler with a lot of wheels, the 88 locos of this class were the largest non-articulated steam locos on the UP roster. One of these massive engines (the 1st of its class: #9000) is on display in Pomona, California. -Rolling Stock: -Cement Hoppers -More Intermodal Cars -Military Flat Cars -Coal Hoppers/Gondolas -UP Excursion Train Passenger Cars
Hopefully if any of the UP steam locos were added into TSW, or the yellow UP coaches excursion train, the diesel wouldn't be coupled in behind the steam loco . Today I did the scenario on Sherman Hill " get over it" this involves running two locos to attach onto a train that needs piloting and power up Sherman. I noticed red flags by the trackside in some places, I'm guessing these are put out behind any trains that stalls, or has failed due to snow etc?
