Its massively improved menu performance. Takes significantly longer for the game to load though. Overall a big improvement. Well done DTG, the menu is alot quicker and more responsive.
Yeah my 2 cents as a ps4 player (with a healthy amount of dlc) is that it takes a bit longer to get to point where game prompts me to press any button. But after that the fan noise goes down and the menu has less stutters. I also feel like third person camera while driving a loco felt a little smoother.
applesnax#6064 Railfan1985 Can I ask you both how long approximately the waiting time is to get into the main menu?
The more DLCs, the longer load times. This is also true on XBox. applesnax#6064 Railfan1985 Please include number of DLCs installed as well.
Luckily on XBX we have quick resume which make loading the game instant, thats why I never consider ps
DTG Alex it takes 02.52. 55 according to my stopwatch. Its definitely a lot slower, but increases the performance overall so im happy
So I've just loaded up london commuter, ands its almost eliminated the pause between route loadout, and gaining control of the train. I hope that makes sense. You press continue and would then get a delay between that and being able to do anything. Huge improvement.
I have also noticed a longer initial load time, but after that, there is significantly less lag and input delay across all facets of the game. So it’s a good trade-off for me.
It took 3 mins & 42 seconds to load on my PS4 (this isn’t the first load either) before it gets to the Dovetail logo which never worked in the past but can see the short animation now. However I have had several crashes since the update, 1 playing the London Commuter straight after loading the train. 1 when going to the store page (first time only) and another 2 crashes when I tried to go to the News page
Just noticed that creators club livery substitution appears to be working correctly now. Before the update, my downloaded liveries never appeared on AI trains on routes like London-Brighton for example.
Okay so I have 27 add ons and am playing on a base model (not pro) ps4. Took 3 minutes and 37 (36.9 so rounded up) seconds from time i pressed X on the tsw3 tile on ps4 home until the time I was able to move cursor on tsw3 home menu. Takes a bit longer but I'd rather make tea/coffee while I wait for it to load up and get the benefit of less stutters. And also I figure over time some improvements will be made to the add on manager.
