    Heya,

just saw that steam was downloading a 198,2MB Update which installs to a little over 1GB. I've already downloaded the 24th November Update already so this must be a different one. Came to look here for another changelog but can't find anything. Somebody know what this is about?

    Same question here.
I got the "normal" update from 24th and another one yesterday with about 250MB
plus one today with about 185MB.

Would that also apply when I don't own Sherman Hill?

I think so, becaue Matt said it is a core update, not a DLC/Addons Update. So everyone will get today's update.

This was a small update to assist in helping performance for players who have been experiencing fps drops.

Are you serious?!?! I think the update is only for SD70ACe's bell fix. Can't wait to reach my rig again and download the update.

Thanks for the clarification. I'd guess this also applies to Dresden-Riesa then? Been indeed experiencing FPS drops there.

In this case it's only targeting FPS drops on Sherman Hill

There were 2 patches today. The first one earlier was the bell fix, the second one being released a few minutes ago is for the performance.

Thanks to DTG for your efforts.

Because the performance patch relates to the core game while the bell fix relates to the DLC.

Even the bell fix will be an update for everyone as it's not so much a bell fix as it is a fix to a core audio element. I dont think it will impact anything other than the SD70 bell though at this point.

The performance fix improves one issue we've seen and been able to resolve relating to skies and lighting improvements which had unfortunate side effects that are now resolved in this update - no visual change, maybe a bit more FPS.

We are chasing down at least one other identified FPS drain at the moment as well, work continues.

    Matt.

The speed and urgency at which these issues are being looked at is commendable to say the least. But you do realise the community will expect this everytime now :D

At least with well known issues and bugs.
Please make this game better and do some hardly needed bugfixes.
    Please.
The community would love you so hard!

I'm actually genuinely impressed with the delivery of these patch updates. I was a bit chuntery when I first played Sherman yesterday but worked through that and these fixes today. I think if anything it shows two things clearly to me, the forums are being watched actively and Matts coming through on his promise of small and fast updates.

    Truly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Just wanted to say I really appreciate this new way of communication I've seen here and in other threads. Seems new to me at least, never saw many replies either by DTG Natster or TrainSim-Matt before. Anyways, wanted to say I appreciate it and hope this is going to be a more common occurence in the future :) after all, communication is key :D

Anyone here plays the Epic Store version of TSW2 and Sherman Hill? It's about the latest fix/update both for bell and Sherman Hill performance improvements. I'm still not getting the update. It's Epic update come much later than the Steam Version?

I had major performance issues in Laramie, after the Update this seems to have cleared up and actually runs decent now.
