I was downloading today's patch, it got to almost to the end then stopped. Could not get it going again. So I cancelled the update. Now the whole game is missing from my xbox. I now have to download the whole game and all dlcs again
If you cancel an update in progress, the whole game will delete. This is normal for any game on Xbox. However, your add-ons are likely still there as those are different files (should be in leftover add-ons in your games library). Updating may appear to stop at various points as it is only updating certain parts of the core game. Best to let it do its thing. Restarting the console may help if it really does get stuck for too long.
Thank you, indeed the add-ons were still there once the main game reinstalled. Only took 10mins in the end, so no big deal
