I'm very much loving the revamped timetable for Koln-Aachen - and I certainly wish every older route could get the same in the long-term. But, there's just one thing that slightly spoils it all though - the older TOD 3 lighting. Apart from it not looking as good, plus I personally dislike all night lighting on older TOD 3 routes in general, the other issues are the headlights on some trains - the 642, 193 and so on, are far too bright and it looks odd. Anyway, I really hope Koln-Aachen can be updated to TOD 4 one day because, quite frankly, its new timetable deserves it. Plus, there's also consistency. It's frustrating to see some routes get updated to TOD 4, especially mostly UK ones like WSR, Cathcart, GWE etc. Thank You.
Here are some pictures: Certain types such as the 642 and 193 have unrealistic and ridiculous bright headlights which are not suitable for the older TOD 3 lighting: In my opinion, TOD 3 night lighting looks too bright so this would be my main reason for upgrading to TOD 4: Finally, well the route now has a fantastic timetable, so this means it deserves upgrading to TOD 4!
Absolutely agree. I still play older routes as much as the newer ones, but they are now looking very dated which is why the inconsistency of some routes getting TOD 4 updates becomes rather frustrating; I hope every older TSW route can eventually be updated to TOD 4 (even better with a new timetable too).
