I would like to know, what kind of update it was today on Stream ? Is it for some of the Preservaion Team update, or something else
Today we are bringing updates to London Commuter and fixes to the introductions on Bakerloo Line, Koln Achen and Sand Patch Grade. London Commuter Fixed an issue on London commuter when spawning into a service you would experience a delay before being able to start. This resolves a significant amount of "Red Light" issues reported by the community. Tharandter Rampe Fixed instances where the game would crash when trying to play Tharandter Rampe if Nahverkehr Dresden was also installed on the Epic Games Store Bakerloo Line Fixed an issue with the doors on the Bakerloo Line introduction so that players are now able to complete it successfully without having to undertake an action which was not instructed. Köln Aachen Fixed an issue with the doors on the Köln Aachen introduction so that players are now able to complete it successfully without having to undertake an action which was not instructed. Added Contact Signaller functionality to trackside telephones. Sand Patch Grade Fixed the MU2A valve in the tutorial for the SD40-2 on Sand Patch Grade The update will download automatically for owners when it becomes available. Players should allow at least 24 hours after restarting Steam, EPIC Game Store or their console for the update to appear and before contacting Customer Support.
Very constructive DB628. Your post is unnecessary because it doesnt add anything constructive. How about bringing up real-life reference pictures instead of saying "looks terrible". If you dont like how german PIS looks, its not our problem, its a you problem.
And how do you know it doesn't look terrible? Not constructive? He actually posted a picture of what it looks like all your doing is attacking someone because they have an opinion, that's a 'you' problem.
Because "looks terrible" is just not a very helpful statement. It just says "its unaesthetic". It neither says "it looks unrealistic" nor does it say "its accurate". Feedback should be always constructive and this isnt constructive in any ways. By the way, here is a real life picture from Köln hauptbahnhof: Here you can see: The ingame PIS is not very accurate because a lot of informations are missing, e.g. line numbers (RE, IC, ICE etc.). Also the delay on following trains isnt displayed. Also the visual appearance isnt that accurate because the background is to bright ingame and the fonts are a bit mismatching ingame.
The reason for 13GB shown is because Steam replaces the corresponding files and needs to validate it. For consoles it might be the case that the respective DLCs gets re-downloaded as a whole but I cant say that for sure.
And so what 'DB628' said about them looking terrible is right no? Some of the text in the ingame boards look like it has come from a Dot Matrix printer.
Yeah but it is about the wording. "Looks terrible" is not helpful for the devs. Sure it isnt accurate but you dont help if you say "it looks terrible" without stating what exactly looks terrible. How are the devs supposed to improve their product when all feedback they get is "looks terrible" or "is buggy"?
My opinion is im glad we got to a point where pis on trains and stations can be called a quality standard. I dont mind if its not 100% accurate. But i can understand there are people want it to look real, same as i care about accurate train features.
Posting a picture without stating what looks bad isnt helpful. If I look at that picture, I just see the PIS and the statement "looks terrible". It doesnt say what exactly is wrong or bad here.
He did add 'No Line Numbers or off the route stations is not great for PIS adding' in a post above but then isn't a picture meant to say a thousand words?
Yes, he added something, but later. And a picture CAN say more than a thousand words if it describes something by itself in a way its understandable.
When I looked at the pictured the first thing I thought was that the pis in game did not look anything like to reality and although I did not know what the real ones looked like until you posted them up I'm sure DTG have the originals.
Something tells me the Köln - Aachen PIS wasn't supposed to be pushed out. Firstly, Matt said the expansion pack was coming out first, then we also were told the next preservation update was on Sand Patch, and also it's obviously not great in quality. I am curious to hear if that's the case or not, though.
The PIS for Koln snuck it's way into the update yesterday. I will make sure it's added to the update notes accordingly.
