This line would include the PDL (Portsmouth Direct Line) And it would also include the slow lines which goes via Eastleigh The rolling stock this route will include are: Class 450 coming in 4,8 and 12 car lengths And the class 444 coming in 5 and 10 car lengths The class 450 usually does the slow lines whereas the 444 doing the fast lines stations of interest on the line include Portsmouth harbour Winchester Basingstoke Woking Clapham Junction
Just as a suggestion, would like to get the line connecting Woking to St Denys one day (to connect the existing DLCs). Lot of parallel running passenger / freight train scenario possibilities.
I'm pretty sure a third party developer is making the Woking to Southampton plus Alton branch and also Andover (if my memory isn't failing me). I'm sure someone else here will know more about it. A complete SWML from Waterloo to Weymouth would be amazing.
