Updating Tsw3

Hi guys I currently have TSW3 on PS4 and am just wondering how I can update it to TSW4 without the need to get the new disc etc, I would likely only drive the LNER on its route so don't really justify paying £50+ just to play one route ?

I currently have about 4 add ons for TSW3 anyway so my fleet of trains would be pretty large hence not really wanting to sell it though that is one option I'm putting on the table if I can't update the way I want to lol.

You can buy the "UK Regional Editon" of TSW4 and skip the other regions routes. The price isn't that much different than the Standard edition though. You get the base game plus the LNER Petersbough Doncaster route. All your owned TSW3 addons would carry over for free.

I found it easiest to navigate the various editions using my phone and the PS App. I own a PS5 so I can't speak to how to navigate the editions on PS4, sorry.

 

Is that via the store or getting a new disc because I've just seen the price (£30) which is very reasonable for the UK edition .

As I say I don't really mind about my tsw3 add ons though they would be a bonus, because I would play the LNER route over and over again like i currently do with the TSW3 scotrail add on though I've not played it in months due to Tennis and world cup rugby on tv and now FC24 being out on video game :P.

If you did buy the dlc digitally, you will be able to download those dlc for free in TSW 4. If you have the disc version of TSW 3, you might be able to get the dlc for free with the help of customer support there can provide you the keys for the dlc so you can play the router includes on the disc version of TSW 3 in TSW 4. Just open a support ticket and they will help you out if it's possible.

 

Also if you buy TSW 4 digitally, you will get both the PS4 and the PS5 version, so if you get a PS5 you will have access to the PS5 version for free.

 

I have finally updated to TSW4 and already played one route of the East Midlands mainline, Doncaster to Harrogate and saved the London to Edinburgh route for sometime over the next couple of days .

Thanks to all that helped me but I've noticed that the only routes I can transfer over are London Gatwick and Birmingham Cross city which means that Scotrail Express and the Midlands route can't be compatible ? At least I have Edinburgh available on the LNER so losing Scotrail Express isn't as much a blow as it would have been if I didn't have another Scottish route .

 

You should be able to install them for TSW4

I'd raise a ticket on the issue if not.

 

I got them all eventually , I was trying to get then through the TSW4 store instead of the PlayStation store, I'm still definitely going to spend a lot of time on the LNER route as that seems an enjoyable route
