I think more lines should be added to Great Western Express: (Didcot parkway Route) (Elizabeth line) (Gatwick Airport express) ( London Waterloo)
No GWR license so anything like this would need to be recreated entirely from scratch in a different era. That is unlikely however. Also, London Waterloo and Gatwick Express are both for entirely different routes, they don't fit within the scope of this suggestion.
As already stated the scale of this suggestion is unrealistic. From your picks though, I wouldn’t mind The Elizabeth Line being added, as I ride this line daily on my way to work.
Do updates to an existing product still require an updated license? Could it not be argued that the original product was just the initial version, and that an update was intended?
Quite simply without the GWR liscence. It just wont happen. Back in the day GWE was I think the 2nd route made by Dovetail, it was built completely different to how they are today.. Matt has already stated in the past, that if the route was to be redone it would have to be built up from scratch*. Alot of people (me included) would love to see the the line extended to Oxford via Didcot with the addition of the Elizabeth Line and everything that comes with it. With out the liscence they cant add new stations, new signage, rolling stock etc etc etc. (as well as liscence details for Elizabeth line). No you need a liscence or two to update / rebuild / extend* the route to modern standards, with everything that is required. Theres no getting round it. It's black and white. Hentis
