It was great having Brandon (cActUsjUiCe) on the stream, he was very knowledgeable and very passionate about the NEC and its signalling system (loved the accent too ha ha). I’m really very grateful for all the work he has done to make the US NEC content more realistic.

The Acela looked and sounded awesome and coupled with the new and improved signalling, skies and lighting on Boston Providence it will breathe a whole new life into the route. I’m really looking forward to spending some quality time on the route in the not to distant future (currently playing Hogwarts Legacy).

The NY Trenton route and trains looked very nice and it’s clear that a lot of effort was put into most of the route. Unfortunately, NY Penn was obviously just a cut and paste from LIRR with no work other than the improved light baking (which looks very nice). You could instantly see a train clipping through the pillars and it looked bloody awful and ridiculous. This could not have been missed (it was that obvious), so it has clearly just been ignored. This is totally unacceptable and pure laziness especially when we raised feedback about this in LIRR.

The timetable is also a massive let down. The only thing worse than an AI based fictional timetable is a half-arsed one. I get it takes a lot of time to build and test a complex timetable, but there is no excuse not to do that when choosing a route with such a busy and complex timetable. London Brighton would have been rubbish if its timetable wasn’t so well implemented- it really sets a high bar. I am frankly shocked and gobsmacked that DTG thinks it can get away with such a subpar effort. Though this is probably down to the fact a lot of people will still buy the route despite its major shortcomings.

As it stands, I will definitely not be buying NY Trenton unless it sees a greater than 50% discount and even then I might not bother. Will this hurt DTG? Probably not. Despite my open letter a few months back it would seem any effort to inspire longer development time in order to release a more polished product is not on the table whatsoever. I’ve said it before, TSW could be absolutely awesome, but it will only ever be just ok with the current attitude to development. Saying DTG is only a small developer and it doesn’t have the capability of delivering a polished product is pure nonsense.

I actually turned on the stream when matt was leaving penn station and first this i noticed was a train in the walls. Unreal likes.

Brighton main line is the best route in the game hands down. Best timetable by miles. Everything else dont come close in my opinion.

If they spent more time on the timetables rather than ai ones then for sure more people might be happier, but nope.

The usual hype it up and take the money attitude!
It's a shame that the passion that is shown on live streams isn't portrayed producing the game?
Such a shame that DTG is willing to remain as a mediocre games developer.
I shall be waiting six months before purchasing it.

Same here, Mattty May. Since we still need to play Testris, I’ve become more picky with what I buy. Trenton is a definite no-go for now. With a sale, maybe, but not as it stands right now. The Acela looks nice and I’m tempted, but I don’t know if I’m willing to fork out 18€ for it while Tetris-ing.
