I figured out a way to make a longer US freight using your own creators liveries,it takes time to do but will try my best to explain how i did it.. First i made several formations in the designer since you cant do more than 4 or 5 vehicles i started with 2 SD70aces and 2 custom livery freight cars spawned 1 cajon covered hopper that i created my own livery , spawned a HSC tank car with again custom livery, made several others spawned 1 sd70 ace and 3 or 4 custom livery ..spawned on foot into time table mode on HSC Johnstown depot or the south fork yard just kept spawning the various formation s after the 2 sd70 ace 2 car formation the other spawned formations i deleted the engine s kept cars coupled them all into a 40 car train lined a route and worked fine, it s time consuming but enjoyed the run after taking the time to do this work afound test
iI also tested a mix of spawned creators liveries formation s with the generic DTG and route freight cars that works too only tried with US freight so far but prob would work on UK EU routes , if anyone else tries this and gets it to work please post some pics , i couldnt get any to post on here too many hoops to jump tgh to do never got any pics to post
Another note.. Not all freight car custom liveries work ..here are some that do SPG tank cars covered hoppers Beth gon coal cars some of the HSC SMH CJP cane creek and oakville cars had the most issues with som of the clinchfield custom made livery freight cas
another thing im going to try is a unit coal grain or tank car train , of same livery , since i got this to work I want to get back into designing my own fictional liveries again.
I found that doing formations of 1 locomotive and 3 or 4 cars at a time in formation creator works best..since trying to do more would cause crashes or not enough space or memory..
I discovered also there are loaded coal hoppers you can use to make a loaded coal train use the HSC ns beth gon you get to spawn 5 car cuts choose the loaded cut of 5 i tested a 50 car coal train just spawn that 5 car cut 10 times then keep coupling the cuts together , then when done set a path and enjoy..
i noticed something when creating formations when choosing a few certain of my own livery cars from CJP would cause game crash seems its when i try to use the box car or tank cars or putting 2 cjp cars together
