I have experienced a few issues while attempting to use the new free roam mode in timetable. I have been trying to run freight on both NEC routes just for fun, but have run into 2 issues making it challenging. First, I want to say I have had no issues spawning and running the CSX power, however, I want to use a variety of power. First issue: The BNSF ES44C makes a very loud alarm sound as soon as the brakes are cut-in and set to lead. I thought it could be low air but let the air pressure build up and the alarm still sounds. The locomotive and consist are drivable, but nothing I do makes the alarm stop. Any ideas on what that alarm could be and how to silence it. It is not the alerter. Second issue: The UP SD70AcE screens are black, meaning I can not cut in the brakes and therefore can not release the brakes to move the train. The locomotive is on though, so it is not a "cold and dark" start situation. Has anyone seen similar issues or should I submit a technical report?
The sd70ace. Look behind you and open the cabinet. Flip the yellow/black fuse off then on. Then youll have to adjust the brightness on your screens.
It is the Alerter on the ES44C. I've had the same issue. It just gets stuck on, and also comes on the other units in trail.
Seems to be the same issue that’s on Trenton. You hear the Aleters on AI trains. Also if you spawn in NJT trains you also hear the alerter going off non-stop
You can run into each cab and hit the alerter button, but it only lasts for a few minutes. It's frankly unusable until it's patched.
