Since tomorrow (July 4th) is Independence Day here in the US, I'd like DTG to celebrate by adding patriotic liveries to new or existing locomotives for both TSW3 and TSC. Here are my suggestions: -UP SD40-2 (Desert Storm #3593; #3300 Patriotic Livery) -SP GS4 #4449 (American Freedom Train; 9/11 Repaint) -CSX and NS Military ES44s -BN #1776 U30C -Alco PA-1 American Freedom Train #1776 -T&P #610 AFT -Reading T1 #2101 AFT -Santa Fe SD45-2 Bicentennial Units Let me know if I missed any other units. It would be great to see the actual American Freedom Train cars in TSW3 and TSC to run behind the steam locos.
Doubt DTG would be able to get this done and shipped for July 4th. Also, Livery Designer / Creators Club do have a purpose.
One or two of these would be fun, but we'd have to have them for next year obviously. They'd work best in a loco add-on bundle. Unless loads of them are included they can't justify a full train DLC.
Most of these wouldn't even fit on any existing route realistically, as most are retired, or repainted and don't fit into any era a route is currently set in. Only the CSX locos are a possibility, but I doubt that would happen. (Since the existing ES44C4, would need to be changed to a ES44AC with steerable trucks)
And not to mention the dynamic brake grid vents would need to be redone since the CSX ones have three but the BNSF one has that one where there's one grid intake on the engineer's side and two vents on the conductor's side. Other than the trucks and the dynamic brake vents, it could happen but who knows.
