Ok, so price and currency adjust generally sucks cause of everyone having to dealing with evolving economies and such, but I have a bone to pick with the pricing of the Feb 2023 add-on prices posted today.

Let's Look at NEC: Boston - Providence. Listed for 24.99 pounds, and 29.99 USD. 24.99 translates to 30.06 USD in actuality to this pricing makes sense.

Now's lets see NEC : NY - Trenton. Listed 29.99 pounds, and 39.99 USD. 29.99 pounds actually translates to 36.08 USD. Wouldn't 35.99 make much more sense for pricing. Why else is there a nice almost $4 upcharge for USD?

It's even worse for the Acela. 14.99 pounds and 22.99 USD when 14.99 actually is equivalent to 18.03 USD. a $5 upcharge? Why? A 27.5% price increase? Come on. This just doesn't make sense compared to the old route of NEC Boston Providence being an almost spot of translation and the new ones being quote poorly translated.

Im assuming you are new to tsw3. The prices were increased to $39.99 to account for rising costs of living, inflation and having to pay for wages. A lot of things have received massive price increases in the real world on other products too, so to account for economics and all that, the price rose.

Yeah I understand that but it's different from my point. If they want to raise prices across the board as they've done, then that is their decision to make. But to raise that price differently across different currencies is what I have a problem with. It just isn't right.

Steam recently updated their exchange rates and shared the recommended prices which is what dtg have used. That's why. Devs can still adjust manually but if they aren't comfortable with how exchange rates and stuff work, it's better to stick with recommended, which they've done. It's unfortunate but things have changed

The reality is that dtg don't have to use what steam recommends so it frankly has nothing to do with steam. Not to mention they charged above the rate of inflation. How can dtg be unconformable with exchange rates? The exchange rate is pretty clear

    Two observations:

    1. Boston is the "old" standard price and hasn't been bumped up either side of the pond because of this
    2. UK prices include what you would term as sales tax at 20%. Reduce the GBP stated price on Steam by 20% to determine the true comparison. The USD 39.99 price on the new route doesn't include any tax

Whether this makes a "fairer" comparison is for you to decide

I hope there are no scenery bugs on this route, because I'm looking forward to it...
    Are there any up-to-date expresses?
