Hello! Welcome to my Suggestion for a late KPEV/ early DRG Era route set in northern germany on the beautifull island of Usedom.

There are two lines, the around 45km long double track mainline runs with trains coming from Berlin from Ducherow on the Mainland over the stunning swing Bridge at Karnin and through the countryside of southern Usedom to the City of Swinemünde and up to Seebad (Sea Bath) Heringsdorf. Seebad Heringsdorf is a Terminal Station, so trains have to make head no matter if there really terminating here or driving all the way up to Wolgast at the north of the island. There is a little 2.5km Branch from the mainline in Swinemünde running through the heart of the city down to the Harbour to bring and take passengers to and from the incoming ships there. The Bridge sadly got destroyed at the end of WWII to stop the enemy from entering the island and the whole Line got shutdown shortly after.

The second line is Heringsdorf to Wolgast, a slow paced single track branch line of around 35km length through coastel countryside and originally mainly used for transporting fish from the small villages off the island to sell it but with time more and more for tourists travelling the island, this Line is still in service today but only ever used for passengers and is known as a part of the "UBB", Usedomer Bäderbahn (Usedom Coastal Railway).

The Locos that would have to be included with this route would of course only be steam engines. I suggest atleast the following two:

The prussian P8 or BR38 in KPEV green livery without smoke deflectors, the so called "Mädchen für Alles (Girl for everything). It´s a loco mainly for local passenger services but basically a loco for all purposes, goods, regional, long distance, doesn´t matter at all. This loco would run most of the mainline services.

The prussian T18 or BR 78, aswell in KPEV green, there is just no good picture. A Tank Engine, basically multi-purpose aswell, would run the branch line and maybe some local trains and shunting on the mainline.

There would be a good amount of other engines aswell but these two are the most important, they could manage basically all the traffic together. Two other good Locos would be the S10 and the G8, but additionally not instead.

I think it would make a great addition to TSW with it´s coastal scenery and the romantic country side, the harbour and the good amount of traffic atleast in a summer timetable with many long distance trains from and to Berlin drivable from Ducherow to Heringsdorf stopping at Swinemünde and Ahlbeck and of course the local goods trains with fresh fish from the sea and the local passenger services making head at Heringsdorf.
